  • Anyone eat wild turkey for Thanksgiving?

My uncle, in Wisconsin, goes out back of his house every year and shoots a turkey! That is what they then fix for Thanksgiving! I have heard that it tastes quite different than what most of us eat at thanksgiving! Very dry and gamey tasting! I know we won't be going there for Thanksgiving, lol!

Well that is what I hear from some my family, however, my brother goes there every year for Thanksgiving so he would probably agree with you. I don't like dark meat so I would not like it I'm sure.

Yea if your a breast/white meat lover you may not enjoy it. I think you should atleast try a little but just remember it's all in how it's cooked. Someone can make fillet taste like crap and another person can make flank taste like gold.
