  • Glenn Beck Gets More Political

Glen beck and sara palin have egnited the repiblican party. 2010 will be such a great yar for us republicans. Reid and Dodd will be out along with alot more.

Fox News Host Glenn Beck is launching plans for a major political organizing effort that will feature cross-country seminars, conventions and political rallies that focus on educating voters on conservative issues and leading libertarian speakers.
Beck told The New York Times that he would promote voter registration drives and sponsor a series of seven conventions across the country featuring what he described as libertarian speakers.
In Florida on Saturday he held a rally in The Villages in Florida, north of Orlando, in which he promoted his recently released book, “Arguing With Idiots.” He also announced another book to come next August filled with conservative policy proposals gathered from the conventions.
The new conventions would resemble educational seminars, and while many speakers will endorse positions he supports, Beck told the Times he would not endorse them for political office. He would not say whether particular candidates for office in the 2010 midterm elections would be invited to speak at the conventions or the August rally.
“You’re going to learn about finance,” Beck told the crowd Saturday. “You’re going to learn about community organizing. You’re going to learn everything we need to know if you want to be a politician.”
Beck said that now that he as used his television and radio shows to lay out his list of the country’s impending problems — deficit spending, health care legislation that will “destroy” the economy, a dearth of “personal responsibility” — he wants to also provide solutions.
Already, Mr. Beck’s page on FoxNews.com features what it calls “In or Out 2010,” a “simple challenge” for lawmakers. It includes a pledge to back a freeze in government spending; oppose all tax increases “until our economy has rebounded”; and support stricter immigration enforcement.

Re: Glenn Beck Gets More Political

Glenn Beck's show is great. He is the only one I watch on a daily basis. I will catch some of Oreilly and Hannity sometimes, but they do not get it the way Beck does. Oreilly thinks his opinion is the best and he never tries to teach his viewers so that they understand the issues, instead he merely comments on everything. Hannity is good but he sides with Republicans on just about everything they do, thus not realizing that the problems in our country reside with both sides. Democrats are merely the fast lane to Socialism and Totalitarianism. Republicans are much slower and stealthier. Glenn Beck calls them both out. He does not care what party you are with, he just expects good leadership.

By the way, Beck had 25,000-35,000 people attend his speech in Florida Saturday.

Yes I know who Alex Jones is. He has a talk radio show and his websites are Infowars.com and prisonplanet.com. He has made some great documentaries too and I have watched a few of them, Endgame, The Obama Deception, and The Fall of The Republic. He is very controversial since he is a conspiracy theory believer, but he has some very good information that is supported with reliable sources. Personally I think he is a little extreme on some things and thus the extent I listen to him is his documentaries. All in all he has some good info but is a bit extreme in his theories. I merely believe in one which is the government is indeed attempting to set up a new world order, and if you watch any of the 3 documentaries I mentioned you will probably have similar fears. Yet, when listening to any of these types of theories please do yourself the justice of fact checking for yourself. That is what I do. I never take anything as truth without further source checking it and coming to my own conclusion.

            ahhhhhhhh, Mr. Beck

He does probably do the best job of any of all of them, on teaching some very important stuff. Saw his deficit thing, that was good, he's had a couple of others.

Sometimes I wonder though, last night he was giving one about how the founding fathers really deep in there hearts believed there should be more religion in government. Didn't see it all, yet, that is what I picked up. Glen, I wanted to say, forgive me my ignorance, yet, that is the basis of the Taliban, Al-Queda, Islamist Extremists, they believe religion should be the primary motivator of all governments, and that the two are not seperate, and there religion should be at the top of the heiarchy. That is what all of the Iranian demonstrations were about, the belief that even though they can vote, there is no true free vote because the new leader is always picked first by the religous leaders, then rolled out too the public and then he always wins.

So, he loses cred when he does this part of it.

I'll give him some other props, when he was on CNN, he'd do an hour long interview of someone on Fridays. He was always enthusiastic, prepared, well researched, had read there books if they had them, or knew most of their history, and ask great questions, and gave them a pretty good amount of time too answer, plus, he is capable of going in any direction at any time. In this format I felt he really loved what he was doing, which is always cool too see.

Beck talks alot of truth and is very passionate on getting our country back on track. But this country wont get back on track with that scum bag leading us and his liberal senators and congressmen and women. But we dont have to worry because pelosi is out, todd is our, reid is out in 2010. Just those 3 make me very happy.

I'll be voting for Tarkanian here in NV to oust Reid, but Pelolosi I am not so confident of. Remember she lives in the most liberal nutcase city the country has ever seen.

I have wondered why he calls himself a libertarian too. I like Beck and think he truly wants to see the country prosper and with less government. However, I am a libertarian and realize Beck does not seem to understand the actual libertarian party and what it stands for. Beck should join the conservative party in my opinion. For one, he doesn't seem to be in favor of legalizing marijuana which is something libertarians support because of our views on property rights. All people are born with rights and one is the right to ones body as property, thus if they want to take in intoxicants so be it, it is their body. However, that does not mean libertarians all like pot or other drugs, it merely means we believe the person has a right to choose what they do to their body. Also, war and religion are two things Beck differs from most libertarians on. War is seldom necessary and only as a defensive measure not offensive. This one you could go on about in a long debate because some believe the war is being defensive against terrorists so I will leave it at that to save from a lengthy conversation. However, I would not attack Beck for these differences. He is definitely in favor of extremely limited government, which is the primary view of libertarians.

I don't understand why you seem to not like Beck though if you are a libertarian. Perhaps he does not fit our philosophy perfectly, but he is doing a great deal in helping to preserve our constitution and great country.

I don't like him because he's a fake. He said Ron Paul was a kook and that his supporters could be considered homegrown terrorists, and now he rides Ron Paul jock and the coattails of the grassroots liberty movement. He's a turncoat and can't be trusted. When he was on cnn he said a lot of pro war rhetoric and neo-con garbage, and then he switches sides when it's convenient. That's why I don't like him, but I do like that he's spreading our message.

Ahh, I see. Yeah I didn't understand why he seemed to not like Paul at first, and I do remember when he interviewed him before the election and he was pretty rude to him. Now he seems to like Paul more. I must admit that before I became a libertarian I wasn't sure what to think about Paul either, however the more I listened to him the more I understood. Ron Paul is a brilliant man who gets it, unlike most others. People often blow him off too fast before giving him a chance and realizing that he is a true patriot in favor of preserving liberty. I think Beck gets it now but I was upset with the way he treated Paul in that interview. I am with you on this and will respect Beck for what he is doing but I think he needs to really have a talk with himself and realize what it is he stands for and if he is indeed a libertarian or not. Ron Paul in my view is a true libertarian carrying the republican card to keep him in office, and thank goodness because we need people like him.
