TweetGLock 23 .40 cal glock 27 or bersa thunder .380.
Tweeti would go with the taurus but i would look for a millenium pro they are nice guns for a great price.
TweetJust had some time with a Bersa Thunder .380. Not a bad gun. Make a good backup. I want more than a .380 if my life's on the line. and with the 709, and PF-9, you can actually have a backup 9mm on your ankle.
I was all about getting a G27 til I read up on ballistics after the dealer told me about his ballistics testing between a 9mm and .40. He trained State officers on firearms for 22yrs, and said the 9mm and 40cal perform identical. He's also the owner of my favorite gunshop now. His G27 and G26 are both $539 OTD. He added the pinky catcher to 'em, so that's cool...even though I will go with the plus 2 mag.
All you get is a bit more blast from a .40. That's it.
TweetTarus Millenium Pro(9mm) for a CC $325.00- can't beat it- even the Bersa 9mm is sweet($400.00)- KelTec 9mm(325.00) all are good. As stated prior=- I wouldn't easte my time nor money on a .40 cal. They are primarily a twin to the 9mm that just cost more and are harder to find- if you ever want to step above a 9mm, move up to the .45

TweetMe too
TweetA friend of mine had a Bersa 380, and got rid of it rtelatively quickly--had a huge problem with jamming. She tried multiple brands and types of shell, problem stayed problematic enough to get rid of it though--I don't know if that's a normal issue with these, but it was with hers
TweetThats odd- never had any issues with mine
TweetBersas generally run smooth as butter right out the box, from what I've heard and read. Something must've been wrong.
A friend of mine bought a brand new Bersa Thunder .380, and it would short-strike about 1 out of 50 rounds. He ended up trading it.
TweetAvg defensive shoot is from 11 feet.
Thats what, three good steps?
Caliber is largely irrelevant if shot placement is correct.
Keltec model 32.
Anything heavy enough to sag your pants is obvious.
see the clip attachment...inside the waist band at the small of the back.
It's light enough to almost forget, big enough to make your point.
Practice quick double taps at about 3 steps out, multiple targets, etc.
Federal Hydro shok ammo for carry.
Very nice. Very comfortable.
Tweetyes sir. from .22-.45cal. If you can conceal it, you gotta place your shots. Shot placement is most important. placement placment placement!
I like that clip extension. My hands aren't in the narrow category, as looks like with you, so that clip extension is nice.
Kel-tec's .380 is around that size. pocket piece for sure, and I have wondered about clip extensions/base-plates for those tiny-tecs.
Taurus' 709 slim is pocket small. They need a clip-extension. They (people that own 'em) say you get used to only 2 fingers on. Feels odd to have that pinky floating around at first.
TweetNeither. I like the Springfield XD. I have a 9mm sub compact, best handgun I've ever fired.
