I need some feedback. I haven't researched this at all. I figured my workout-wise peers here at FG possess the guidance I'm looking for. What I'm wondering is if it would be any less effective to workout a totally different muscle group in the same day, but broken up by at least 6hrs.
For instance, hitting chest in the morning. Then, later the same day, hit legs.

I know blood flows nutrients to the muscle group that's being/been trained. I just don't want to hender any gains.

This isn't a training regimen I'm wanting to start doing 100%. I'm just wondering, for time sake, if I want to do this once in a while, is it just as effective?

I do it quite often with legs. Ive even done chest in AM and back in the PM before. If you have the energy and the ability to recover I dont see a prob. Plus you need time to rest as well which usually wont be the case if you are working full time or married etc. Certain workouts i think are easier to do this with than others. Sometimes i will just lift heavy with few reps and sets, this is easy for me to recover from as opposed to tons of volume.

      Thanks for the input brody.
I was thinking along those lines; so long as a good 6+ hrs is between training sessions, plenty of good nutrient intake, some rest, as you said, would be nice but that may be tough.
I doubt doing this once in a while would be any bit of a noticeable henderance of gains, if it even would be anyway.

i think if you can recover by doing legs in the am and upper body in the evening you can make great strides. After all, it's all about recovery and doing it all over again.

Just did it today, shoulders in AM and legs in PM with class in between. I only do this though when I have the energy. If I feel too tired I will cancel the PM and rest which is something I used to not do. I would push through exra workouts and end up more worn out and beat up, not good.

Plus, you have to make sure to eat more than normal to fuel your workout otherwise you will start to feel awful.
