TweetIs the pain from impact to the elbow or tendonitis from overuse? Either way, ibuprofen should be used to cut down on the pain and inflamation.
Tweetanyone who fights or trains to fight have any suggestions?
I guess its just the shocks from grappling, they hurt the worst when doing stand up drills after a takedown over and over.
its getting to the point now i dont wanna wrestle or do my BJJ and i cant even think about touching a weight without it hurting. striking is all good they really dont hurt unless i miss and hyperextend them.
i wear the elbow sleeves and take all the joint supps but they still hurt all the time
if somone can give me a suggestion that works you can have my wife for a night (somone should get some fun with her cause it sure anit me LOL)

TweetWhat side of the elbow hurts? Its either from flexion or extension...flexion inury is to the inside of the elbow, extension injury on the outside. If its an extension injury, stretch it with flexion and vice versa. Do stretches for the involved muscle group throughout the day, evey hour if possible. Get on something like carlson fish oil and drink it like theres no tomorrow. Take gulps throughout the day. good luck.
TweetMy question also. When I was doing BJJ, I would have joint pain as well and Ibuprofen seemed to take care of it. I used the gelcaps because they are a higher dose.

TweetCortisine is a very good antiinflamitory BUT it weakens tendons. I would not get any area done more than once or twice.
