Swick/Kampmann-Winner gets GSP

Following Georges St. Pierre’s dominant victory over Brazilian powerhouse Thiago Alves, the question was raised of what would be next for the Canadian welterweight champ. If Joe Rogan’s comments are anything to go by it could be either Mike Swick or Martin Kampmann.

During the live telecast of UFC 100, following what can only be described about as a thoroughly dominant performance on behalf of St. Pierre, Joe Rogan announced that he was sat next to UFC match maker Joe Silva, and what would be next for GSP? He then stated that Silva had said the winner of the match up between Martin Kampmann and Mike Swick will be the one getting the shot at Georges St. Pierre.

After seeing the people that St. Pierre has fought, of varying sizes and styles, it’s hard to think of anything that would work against the welterweight champ. I guess we will see whether Swick or Kampmann will have better luck than Alves.

it's not really a question of who does GSP fight next....it's more a question of who can beat him at 170?

TweetI thought Alves would be a better fight than it was cause I think Alves is very good. I really dont see anyone pushing GSP at this point unless he shows up unfocused (not likely) or just gets caught with something stupid, which shouldnt happen if sticks to his game plan of take downs.
