this is something to ponder on considering the stigma surrounding t3 use and the supposed risk of shutting down the thyroid permanently. i realy dont see the point of the ramp up and taper down that is such commen advice for using t3. the reason why i say this is because if you use any other hormone for supplementation (AS), cortisone, ect, ect, as long as you are not on for a crazy amount of time your body will recover. t3 is a hormone just like test (not structurally similar but a horm0one none the less) and we all know that ramping up and then tapering down AS is completely unnecessary for natural test production to start again. so why do the ramp and taper with t3? why would thyroid recovery be so much more hard to acheive than test recovery, they are both naturally occuring hormones that your body will produce as it sees fit, it may take a good 6 to 8 weeks depending on various variables but your body will restart as long as it senses that the hormone is needed right? so why the big t3 scare? anyone have any input on this? i dont have any studies to back this up, just a theory. and if anyone thinks this a stupid idea please have study to back up opinion, and no rumor/stories about professional BBers with damaged thyroids.

tapering the t3 gives your thyroid a chance to start getting back to normal before you are completly off of the hormone. If you could take a hormone that would jumpstart you t3 levels after your cycle, like clomid does for your testes, it would be easier to stop cold.

Before people knew the benefits of clomid, hgc, etc tapering was common practice.

I agree that you could stop t3 cold and eventualy your thyroid would kick in, but I believe that just like with test, you would lose your gains...or in this case gain back your weight because of a slower metabolism. JMO

People who were on t3 supplementation whom stopped it all the sudden had there thyroid function return to normal in two weeks. I would taper down, but its really a matter of a few days difference, and maybe a little bit of fat, as far as recovery.

its a personal thing really, if u r propense to diabetes or thyroid disorders you ll get fucked up even if you taper it down, now if u r 100% healthy and no history in your family you should be just fine
