Yesterday's newspaper had a collumn stating that Texas created more jobs in the last 2yrs than the rest of the United States combined.

What is Texas doing correctly that the rest of America isn't?

i don't know but it's obvious when you are there that they ahven't been impacted by the economy near as much as everyone else. Plus the tax system there is fantastic. No state income tax. Yea you get higher sales tax and property tax, but you choose to buy things which means you get to choose when you pay those taxes.

We're just preparing to suceede(sp) for the Union-LOL. You have uderstand Texas as a whole to try and understand it. We are located on the Gulf of Mexico(excellent for imports and exports and deep water ports))- we supply alot of our own oil on and offshore- we have a ton of refinerees and Chemical plants( some of the Largest in the World)- we have the largest wind power plants set up here( yes larger the Ca.)- We have many of crops grown here(Rice-Soy Bean-Corn-Maze-Wheat-ect.)- we also have many headquarters in Texas, Dell being just one- Our Livestock flourishes(Beef-Chicken-Pork-ect)but best of all- we have the right to su-ceede(sp) from the union. We are very diversified on surviving where most placees like Detroit rely soley on the Car industry
