IRS Agent visits me at work today!

TweetI heard the front door open, She walks in and flashes an IRS badge in a wallet, just like on TV. "Hello, Mr. *****? Im *** ***, Im an agent with the IRS."...OMG, are you kidding me? Everyones worst nightmare!!!(Im fighting a $104,000 IRS tax lien right now)...I bout shit my drawers.
Then my puppy, Bruno, ran out and started jumping all over her. Licking her face. Im thinking "Oh f U C K!" LOL. She fell in love with my dog and she and I talked about dogs for 30 minutes. She told me about her German Shprd she and her husband got from the same animal shelter I got my dog from...We had the best talk and she was so cool. She said If I can produce tax returns from 96-2002 they will probably dismiss most of the amt I owe them..whew...So many of my old pals from the Patriot Movement told me horror stories about the IRS. Scary shit. Like that they are like ****s. Its bullshit. She was so cool. 1,000 pounds of stress off my back from talking to her today!!!!!Thank God!...When I told her about the scare tactics of Taxmasters and other tax repair companies, she started laughing. What a relief. OMG!

Tweetamen to what you guys are saying. I have been audited real hard buy the irs in the past, and it always turned out just fine. Each time, I was super friendly and cooperative and became almost buddies with the agents. I did call my old CPA and his wife told me all my old tax returns had been shredded. Found a place where I can order them for $5. This should turn out just fine, but the stress the IRS puts you through can be hell on earth.

Monies owed, especially in the high amounts are alway in play for "offer in comprimise" assuming that these are not payroll taxes and they are out of bounds. If not, a sweet payment plan of a cash offer (your best bet, and by the way, you are borrowing the cash offer ) will be the norm. PM if you need more help.

Yes, the offer in compromise is what Im workin on with her. Its amazing to me how much mental attitude plays into these outcomes. If we expect things to be bad, they will be bad. So, Im hoping this turns out. They are going back to 1996. People say the statue of limitations is 7 years on these things. Not so. But the years in question were years where I paid a lot in taxes. So I should be fine.There were years where I didnt pay. All in all, its working out. Thanks for the help. Ive always had other people handle these issues for me, now I am dealin with it on my own. Its an education...lol

No doubt! I moved in 2005 and shredded everything that wasnt absolutely imperative. we filled about ten trash dumpsters with shit. ooops.
