You guys that live up north and put your bikes away for the winter, what does that involve? For instance, do you do anything with the gas in the bike, or is it okay for a few months?

I'm wondering because I don't like for gas to get much older than a month. A friend told me that it's okay for 2-3 months. And I wouldn't want to use an additive.

They take out the battery put it on a trickle charge for the winter or until you pick it up. they change your oil and oil your chain. gas is fine in the tank for the season. you should be using the highest grade of gas

yeah, it ain't gunna run right for long without premium, but I was getting concerned because I hadn't put fresh gas in the tank for a month. My uncle, that's a ship cpt, leaves his Harley for months, but I just wasn't sure.

put some stabil in it, take the battery out, trickle charger it. put some baking soda on a plate and place the plate or container on your seat the cover your bike. . then when the weather breaks, change the oil lube the chain and go.
