TweetSounds as if she is following her father's footsteps. Maybe?
TweetDoes your town celebrate Mardi Gras? We have a little thing downtown...parade, festival, etc...family oriented...I'm thinking about taking my daughter down there today. She saw a group of kids come in where I took her for dinner yesterday afternoon, and they gave her some of their beeds. They were sweet girls. I think she'd enjoy it.

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
Tweetlol...yeah...no. this is very family oriented. I'm not looking forward to the day she asks to go to New Orleans with some friends for Mardi Gras. Then run into somebody like her father was during spring breaks. ugh...All I can do is raise her my best. Make her wise to the "type", and hope & pray.lol
TweetWe just rode down to check it out, and there is already allot of folks out and about down there. Stands set up. Lots of cooking going on, bands playing. The actual parade is at 3:00. We needed to come back to get jackets though. It's right on the bay, so it's kinda cool out there. My girl needs a nap too. Daddy wouldn't mind a little shut-eye either.
TweetIts already kicked off in Galveston
TweetI was born and raised in New Orleans and we celebrated it a.k.a FAT TUESDAY there every year, with the exception of 1979 when our mayor canceled Mardi Gras, due to a police strike.
But it's not celebrated anywhere here in Cali.
TweetWe just got back about 30 minutes or so ago. My girl had a blast. I wish sh would've taken a nap before we went because she would've had more fun, but she still had a great time. She got pink streaks in her hair. Got to play on the big air things that they jump around in. She got so many beeds from the parade that she looked like a plastic version of a Mr. T set times 10. She even got a couple of stuffed animals. She got a little Mardi Gras mask, and some other little stuff. I lost my good work shades a couple of weeks ago, so I snagged up some pretty cool, very comfy, decent looking shades for the field. They're light as hell, and they won't fall off or make ay sore spots that i oculd imagine. Only $12, so...had to get 'em
I'm glad we went though. It was a really good time. Wish mommy could've made it. I stumbled across a winery that has been opened right down in that area, so I grabbed up one of mommy's favorite wines. That'll go well with movie night.
