TweetIt takes a while to get used to that type of shave but I also switched back to MachIII and I had a $130 electric one.
Tweeti had one of those braun self cleaning...took about a month to get used to it....it died after a year or so

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
Tweetyour Z key is stuck
My wife bought me an electric razor for xmas last year. It does ok. It doesn't do very good on the neck. I still prefer my Gillette M3
Tweetnothing gets as smooth as a real razor, but the electrics aren't bad when your pinched for time and you don't need to be that smooth
TweetI have had to shave about every 18hrs since grade school. Electric razors are a life saver, lol
TweetThe preparation for using an electric razor is different from that of using a blade. With a blade, you use heat and water to soften the skin and the hair, with an electric razor, you need to use something like "Lectric Shave" to actually stiffen the hairs so they don't flex away from the cutting foils/heads or however the thing does its job.
TweetI can't use an electric either. Unless you have really fine hair electrics don't work that well.
TweetI have used an electric for years now. Maybe you just have to get used to it or something. I agree that there are spots on the neck that the electric just doesn't want to get. I have to shave about every morning and I am always running late so the electric is all I use. I have had the same one for years too..never had a problem. I think it is a remington. It wasn't that expensive. It doesn't get as smooth as a blade but in my job, that doesn't really matter...especially now. I can shave and then go outside and work in 20 degree weather and the cold screws it up anyway.

TweetCorrect,
If you are JUST starting to use an electric shavor it feels weird. It takes about a month or so to get "used" to the new type of shave.
Tweeti believe your face/skin need to get used to the shave. Try using the Pre-electric shave stuff. It helps with the friction.
I have to shave ED and i switch from M3 to electric EOD. By the end of the week, my face is shredded.
Tweeti have a norelco that uses shaving lotion while it shaves...only electric i had that works..still not as good as a razor
Tweetyeah, I'm not big on electrics either. I noticed some mentions of the Mach 3. That was my choice for years. Then I gave the Fusion a shot a couple years ago, and WOW!. Everyone, go now and add a Gillette Fusion (Power) to your grocery list. I'm not kidding. Get up and do it now so you don't forget. I had the regular Fusion and then got a power just to see, as the handles are the inexpensive part.($8.00) I wanted to see what possibly a little vibration could do for a razor, and it does indeed make a difference. It's like it's cutting the hairs itself. It's awesome!. The other great thing about the Fusion 5 blade system as opposed to the Mach 3 is it is easier on the skin. It doesn't nick the skin as easily as the Mach3 because the Fusion's 5 blades are closer together, so the skin doesn't raise up between each blade. (That's the conclusion I came up with anyway). But it doesn't end there. You just flip the razor around with shaving side facing away, and there's 1 blade located on the tip of the back to get close right up under your nose, and put a perfect edge on your burns, etc... Needless to say, I'm pleased with my Fusion. The blades last forever too. I don't have very course facial hair though. I can get buy with shaving eod.
Go out and get a Fusion Power now. Make sure it's the (power) version. It'll have a little AAA Duracell in the pack. I think they have a cool Black or Blue one now too. They only had the Silver and Orange one when I got mine. It'll be the best $9 you've spent in a while.
