TweetTry some stretching in that area but be careful.Have you injured that are before you might have done something but if you havent try some ice also.
TweetFor the last 2 weeks or so i have been noticing pain where my pectoral muscle meets my upper bicep. (kinda under my arm pit) Its real tight when i lift my arms above my head or do any kind of bench or fly. It seems to warm up a bit, but the warmup sets are painful. I tried taking 5 days off....didnt help. Been drinking more water, taking a bit more potassium, and doubled my multivitamin. Any ideas? THX

TweetTry icing it and if you can find some good glucosamine cream and use that also.
i would be careful thou not sure if you have injured that area before but the last thing want to do is tear it.
I would also if you continue to train to save flat bench for last because that is the on movement that people seem to tear the pec with. saving it till last means you have fully stretched the muscle and warmed it up, and by the time you get to flat bench you have pre-exhausted the chest so you will not need to go as heavy.
TweetNo prior injuries or anything. Feels like im sore all the time. I was planning on doing a low dose 10 wk cycle thanksgiving, but not sure now. I will add some glucosomine and glutamine and see from there. Any other ideas or supplemnets that might help.
Deca 300mg/week 1-9
Test 400mg/week 1-10
Dbol 30mg/day 1-5
nolvadex pct
also have (100) 10mg tabs of tbol i thought a might throw into this cycle. if so how much and where? any help is appreciated.
TweetI would start by getting a foam roller from www.power-systems.com, the 36" x 6" inch job and roll away. NOTE: this will hurt!. And it's kinda hard to get used to in the position you'll be in,but you will figure it out. try doing it twice a day for a week and if after 5 or 6 days it doesn't feel like it's getting harder and harder to find the painfull spot, then you may have an injury.
2nd, go on an aspirin therapy regimen
3rd, stop any fly's or machine work. I have made this area hurt before and it so far has always been due to overuse/or too heavy of weight and not enuff rest afterwards.
Also, are you benching with your elbows out away from your body?.
Tweetwell.... i usually workout chest twice a week.(maybe 1 time a week is what i need) I always get to heavy weight at some point in time every workout. A common workout might look something like this.
elliptical 5-6 min
stretch 3-4 min
flat bench warmup 135x12
then 185x18
then 205x12
then 225x10
then 245x6-7
then 265x2-3
incline dumbell 70'sx10
then 75'sx10
then 80'sx8-10
cable flys usually 3 sets of 12-15
then on to triceps.
think i have good form on bench, but usually lift solo so not 100% sure about the elbows
Tweethave you had any bruising in the area? You may have torn it slightly.
I tore my pec and when it was healing it felt tight. Feel for some knots or indention in your pec.
Might be something to consider..
Tweetno bruising. i dont think its torn. i also dont really feel like its in my pectoral muscle. it feels like a ligament or tendon. its more on the inside arm (near the arm pit) than the pec, but i feel it most when i do chest.
Tweetthe big question is this: Is it getting better, worse or the same? If its not getting better, you really should STOP anything that causes it to hurt(unless you are a professional athlete), at least for a while. If you keep traumatizing in the gym, this could linger for months or longer. Good luck.

GO GET A RUB DOWN ANS SEE IF THAT HELPS IT

Tweetthx guys. getting better i think. did some hard stretching and some ice last night. ill try the massage also.
Tweetsounds to familiar, had the same feeling my pec would get better after taking like 2-3 weeks off than after a week or two it was the same thing.my chest was my pride and joy,at 185 or so I was maxing out at 345lbs and had no problem doing sets with 315 on any day.I was only 18-19 at that point and tore- up clean no AAS.well I never went to the docs.Than one day I was'nt even going heavy,my pec completely to from from my shoulder, tendon and all.My whole rt. side was black and blue from my fingers, half of my chest,up to my neck. After having surgey about 3yrs later, never doing my chest heavy ,while closing a door my pec tore completely again.Im kinda screwed, but whatever.I still train. When you look You can still tell. But I wish I would have checked it out with a doc.You can never be to sure ,if you have insurance use it and ask for an x-ray if it does not get any better.
TweetI would do the recovery methods already mentioned like ice, massage, etc.. but also I would switch from flat bench press to floor presses for a few weeks and see how that works. You may also benefit from doing some high rep dumbell work for 1-2 sets of 20+ reps.
TweetWell....i stopped doing bench, flys, everything but pushups for the past couple of weeks. Everything seems to be better. This may be a stupid question but whatever here it goes...... What do you guys think about pushups and light dumbell presses only for chest during my test, deca, dbol cycle? Im really wanting to get started with this cycle but dont want to injure myself either. I was originally going to focus on my arms, legs, and back this cycle anyways. My chest in my opinion is a step ahead of other areas as far as size goes.
TweetSounds good to me, go for it man. None of us know your body like you do, listen to it and you'll be fine.
