TweetMy midpipe arrived yesterday! I gotta get this thing put on today. No more cat. She'll be screeming like a F1. ahh, I can't wait to be able to actually hear the tune from around 12 to 17.5grand without a catalytic. it'll make ya say 'dayum son'!!
I've heard that the catalytic will be literally glowing hot after a good run on the track. It lets no heat out of the motor. bye-bye heat.

Tweetthat's a shame fuzzy you got yelled at for it and have yet to reap the benifits. I do know that if i keep it this spring it's getting a load of shit done to it
TweetYou do not have to have a power commander. You can put a full exhaust on these bike and have no problems, and nothing but horsepower gains and better throttle response. With that said, a power commander can help some. A Bazzaz will help more.
Tweet...but definitely no problems. It will always run better. You just have to make sure the modification has a place for the 02 sensor. Now if you don't plug the oxygen sensor into it, then you got problems.
Tweetyour right a bazzazz would be badazz but i don't know about you but i don't have that kind of dough to fork over for a tuner
TweetNot much. It's stock. I've just added Vortex frame sliders. The rear tag thing with blinkers as you know, and I put some sweet little front signals in the holes where the factory signals were.
This pipe is gonna wake it up from the dead. I'll probably get a 520 conversion kit and gear it down a tad next.
Tweetwell, the midpipe installation went pretty smooth. That damn cat feels like it's 30lbs instead of 15lbs. That's a heavy bastard. It's a restrictive bastard. It's so much more opened up of coarse. The throttle responce and torque just pops immediately when you twist the throttle, instead of feels like it's trying to blow thru a cigarette filter. Man at the torque though! I cruised up to 6grand and snapped the throttle open, and it powered a wheelie on the way home!..very torquey. sounds good too. I thought I'd be happy with the factory slip on, as I heard one on youtube, but it just sounds good in the garage like the kid sounded off on youtube. I need a slip on. This factory silencer does it's job too well. But overall, I'm happy with it for the price compared to a full exhaust. I will go full exhaust on the next one though. might put one on this one. Full exhaust is really the only way to go now-days with those damn restrictive factory sytems. There's restrictive shyt all through them.
Tweet...oh my leak just reminded me. There is a tiny leak where the midpipe connects to the headers. You can't hear it, you can feel it though. It's just a pin hole of air shooting through the right side clamp because of a bur or something, but the guy that helped me put it on is a welder, so I'm going to get a spot of weld right there to seal it up all the way today.
TweetIt is definitely worth the $145. The one I got is called a T-Tuner. It was offered on ebay. That's where I got it, but the maker of the midpipe is working on a website specifically for it. He said the ebay seller fees were too expensive, but the website will be up in a few weeks. There is another one offered on ebay that's just as good for $115, I think it is. People say that it isn't as well made as the T-Tuner because of the unequal offset, but that's incorrect. It is a fact that the headers must have equal length tubes and chambers as they come together, and they do, before the midpipe. so the other one is just fine. And I think it's ceramic coated too. The T-tuner isn't.
