This type of Totalitarianism must be fought at every turn. We MUST stand up against this or we will forfeit our constitutional rights and become no different than other oppressive countries run by despots. Does anybody even care anymore???? WTF is happening in this country????...THIS IS LIKE BEING FORCED TO TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST. NOW IT IS "TAKE THE INJECTION OR GO TO PRISON"................WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

The flu shot is essintial for anyone with a weakened immune system ie the eldery, pediatric, cardiac health issues and such. People who work in the health industry it's required for. The military requires all soldiers to get it.

Illnesses like the flu causes millions of dollars a year in time loss from work, medicine and doctor visits not to mention deaths caused from it.

Your kid doesn't get the shot, gets other kids sick and so on and so on.

Are you not gonna get your daughter the new HPV virus that can stop or decrease uterian cancer?

You act like they are requiring you to donate a kidney or something.

thats because your getting a dead or weakened flu virus. Your body is exposed to it and builds up immunities to it. So later on when you are exposed to the virus, your body has built up immunities.
Your only getting a taste of the affects of the virus not the full on flu.

I just got the flu mist and yes 4 days later I felt like crap but thats better than laying in bed for a week with the flu/passing it on to your family.

Well again, you can slightly expose your children or take the chance of them getting the flu, getting really sick and dying. It's his call.
Why is this any different than the required immunizations(mumps,measles) that EVERY school system requires your kids to have before entering the school system?? I don't care what state you are in.
It is protecting the overwhelming majority.
Just with the other required immunizations, get the flu vaccine or your child cannot enter the school system period.
I was required to get immunizations before entering school over 30 years ago and we still haven't turned into Communist China.
Def. too much made up over nothing.

You can try it but you'd lose. A daycare is a private industry. They are not required to offer their services to you. Now you can claim religious reasons but they will make you play that card in court to prove it.
You'll look pretty dumb trying to prove your version of the Catholic or Baptist religion that doesn't accept modern medicne.

I'm not crazy and none of my kids or me have ever had the flu shot. I think you missed the whole point of the post. This mentality falls in line with seatbelt laws, helmet laws, smoke detector laws, these things should be left to personal choice not government mandate. The government should not be micromanaging anyones life.
