TweetYes, they are common. They usually are embedded in a tendon. Wrists are common site as well as ankles. They are usually not a problem except to cause pain from increased use. Often surgical excision is the only route to go. They were once called "bible" cysts cuz people would smash them with the big schofield family reference bible..LOL...that can actually work and it may be worth a shot. Good luck. Oh, btw, I had one on my ankle and had it removed and it was a total waste of time. I should have just left the som*****

TweetMy brother had one and I had heard of the Bible cure. I asked him if I could see it and then punched it. He screamed, put his hand in between his legs and started jumping around and moaning. When he looked at his hand - it was gone!!!
