Can I get your advices for a friend?

I consider you a friend and i was hoping for some advice.. i ve been feeling like ive been having panic attacks ive had 4 episodes withing a month and there scaring the shit out of me..I feel like im being smothered, shortness of breat, fast pulse, nausea...i went to the ER twice and they ruled out heart attack.and couldnt find nothing wrong, and they made me feel like i was making it up, but im not,. I know me, and something just doesnt feel right and im just scared, i was hoping for your advice.. im asking you in confidence.... sincerly your friend, ********

I replied to her already, but wondering what you all think. Thanks in advance. I respect the collective intelligence of evcerybody on this board.

I agree probably some type of medication.

I've only had one panic attack and they do suck but mine was after a cycle so i always marked it up as something to do with my endocrine system.

Let us know if she ever thinks she found the cause.

Oh geez - that might bring on a heart attack! Seriously, my best friend lost her husband on 9/11 and started having them then. She went on a low dose of zoloft and it seemed to help. There is also Paxil and Prozac. I find that repeated 9, 9, 9, 9, sometimes does the trick for me. That or a round at the baseball cages.

TweetMy best friend had the same symptoms. Went to the my family doctor and he put her on xanax... .25mg 2-3x/day. All her symptoms went away.

i think i get more scared when it feels like i cant breath and start feeling dizzy.but im not hyperventilating. but thank you for responding to my email... greatly appreciated..I made an apt with a doctor today and he says i may be having anxiety attacks, with palpitations and tachacardia.. but im not under stress or im not depressed, so i cant understand y?.he gave me pills to lower my heart rate to see if it helps.. HOPEFULLY, again thank you..... i hope your having a better day then me.. always your friend******

Tweetbump on the xanax. doc put me on .5mg when i was having similar symptoms dealing with issues with the ex and it worked wonders.
