TweetI DONT HAVE WI-FI...HE DOES AND HES STEALING MY INTERNET SIGNAL TO RUN HIS LAPTOP
HOW DO I STOP THAT?
TweetYou need to secure your wireless router with an encryption system such as WEP or WPA. I'd also recommend using MAC address filtering too, I do both of those and so far, no one has been able to get into my wireless network.
TweetI am not positive on this, but I don't think he can steal your DSL connection signal, only if you Have a router for a wireless connection. when I connect via wireless connection, the only signals that come up are the other wireless signals in the area. Maybe it is different there in the country. lol!

TweetI FOUND IT....MY MODEM HAS A TRANSMITTER FOR A LAP TOP IN THE HOUSE. IT TRANSMITS UP TO 1300 FEET AWAY. I DONT HAVE A LAP TOP AND IM CHANGING OUT THE MODEM FOR ONE THAT DOESNT DO THAT
SORRY SNEAKY NEIGHBOR - GET YOUR OWN SIGNAL BIIIOTCH!!
TweetYou could probably also go into the modem settings and turn off the wireless access point function if you don't have any wireless devices.

Agreed, there is no reason to buy new hardware. As cyber said, turn off the wireless function on your modem and youll be fine.
