Thoughts on being "on" and going under the "knife", specifically for a knee surgery to fix a torn ACL - any possible negative sides associated??? Let's hear your opinions... good, bad, indifferent???

A blood thining. A high red blood cell count which if you are over 40 and over 50 it really applies that you are at higher risk for stroke and MI (heart attack). The increased red blood cell count causes a log jam... for a lack of a better term.

I've heard of the blood thinning effects and how it can decrease blood clotting times... Never heard of the possibility of stroke or MI associated with gear use...

I should have worded it more correctly. AAS will cause a thining effect that mostly effects clotting like as if you were shaving, it would bleed more than usual. The increased red blood cell count from AAS will cause a log jam in an artery that is partialy blocked by plaque causing an MI.

have done it and no problem, but I am leary of telling any MD because most of them will freak out and think you are the equal of a crack head. Sad but true, but it might be best if they know what all youre on. Best of luck to you!
