TweetCollectivists, socialists, progressives, fascists, i.e. statists (which includes all democrats and most republicans), speak of government innovation, government ideas, government improving technology, government improving the environment, etc. Side note: Have you ever noticed how much Obama speaks of 21st Century ideas. These statements require you to automatically accept the premise that government develops these things or creates the environment necessary to develop things.
Both presidential candidates use this verbiage; Obama uses it better but they both speak and act as if they believe this irrational premise of government innovation.
Government is force; it is a monopoly on force and the only impact government has on innovation, creativity, technology, the environment, etc. is how much brute force will be applied and how it will be implemented into these arenas.
So next time you hear these presidential candidates promising better ideas (or 21st Century ideas) for innovating technology so we can have cheaper energy; the only action they have at their disposal is how to apply force, period.
If you believe applying brute force to people makes them creative, innovate or happy - vote McCain or Obama. Because that is what they do; the only thing that distinguishes them is what areas of society they want to apply force in. They do not understand the concept of freedom and as long as people keep arguing over who applies force better to society, individual freedom will evade us and the longer it evades us the more difficult it will be to get it back.
To those who think we cannot survive with Obama and thus feel compelled to vote for McCain, because he is the lesser evil, you are still condoning and supporting an unjust use of force and only delaying a future Obama. Only when we get our future Obama it will be because he is running against a greater communist, i.e. he will be the lesser evil. The lesser evil vote is another automatic acceptance of a flawed premise. It is the other way around, voting for evil is a wasted vote, voting for your principles is integrity.
