For the past few days I feel like I can't get enough of air, esp. when going to bed. If I eat something I will feel really bloated that my stomach will swell up right in the middle of the rib cage ? What is this ? When this happens I will gasp for more air. Like I need to take a deep breath every few minutes but I can't. When this happens then I start to yawn. Sometimes yawn allows me to get this good needed deep breath that for some reason I need every few mins ?

If I complete a good yawn chances are I will get that deep breath if I don't complete the yawn I most likely WILL NOT get the air I need. What is causing this problem. It has bothered me for so long.

I thought it was the anxiety. It still could be. That's why the doctor put me on Paxil for anxiety. Paxil has helped a lot but every once in a while I get these breathing problem symptoms.

I had some minor heart palpitations that my doctor checked out. They did the EKG test which was fine. They took the chest x-ray pics and they came out fine. I have not done any tests with my cardiologist or a specialist.

What I noticed is if I'm training my heart rate will IMMEDIATELY go fast... and.. if I'm watching something exciting on TV...like Boston Celtics VS Lakers its 99 - 99 ..Boston has the ball.. 10 seconds on the clock. You get that anxiety rush...my heart just goes insane.

Can anyone explain certain things to me that are very unclear.

Maybe asthma? I don't know bro.

I have had a similar experience in my life where my body felt like it needed air and I'll be sucking it down, lungs will be expanding but despite the huge amounts of air I'll be sucking in - it feels like I'm not breathing. I've always assumed that is what asthma is like but it's only happened once.

If excitement would cause some kind of asthmatic reaction; your heart may be trying to compensate.

I have the same problems man, but I have some pretty nasty allergies to boot. Your belly might be something unrelated, I really don't know. My belly will swell up pretty big, almost like a gh gut but I always just attributed that to my hiatal hernia.
