TweetI found a little over a grand one time about five or so years ago on a trip down to the lake.
I was bored and decided to go get some ice. I walked down one flight of stairs to other side of hotel/motel and then decided to take the longer way back up and around to the other side. As I was walking up the flight of stairs I noticed a wad of money and a money clip...no credit cards, no drivers license, just a plain ol money clip and a wad of money.
I ran up into the room and started counting and counting and before I knew it I was at almost 1200. I was ecstatic at the time and since there was no identification in there I didn't feel obligated to give it back and also who walks around with that kind of money anyways I thought.
I then gave a 200 maybe three hundred to my friend for all the gas he put in his boat that weekend. I can't remember exactly what size boat it was but it was over 30 feet, four captain chairs, covered bow, and I believe twin 454 engines. Easily held 50-100 gallons of gas. I figured most I could do at that time b/c I didn't have that kind of money to fill it up was give him some of the money I found.
I, at the time, didn't think twice bout it till the next morning the people down a few doors asked if we found any money. I said no b/c I freaked out as we spent some on a lot of alcohol, food, and then the money I gave to my friend. By then it was too late.
They ended up getting some punk kids below us kicked out b/c they some how convinced management they had something to do with it as they believed someone came in their room and stole the money but he dropped it on the stairs.
I was really starting to feel bad at that time. Fast forward a week or two...I'm of course home by now and of course spent all that "FREE" money! And now my transmissio in my car blows out and it only has 77000 miles on it, just outside the manufacturer's warranty or so I believe. But safe to say I just spent over a grand in two weeks, was already broke and now more broke and NOW my transmission is out.
I figured it was KARMA as it cost just about a grand to fix my tranny and rightfully so.
I'd like to say I'd give it back but ya never know till your in that situation.
TweetHey I found a $1 bill at the Arnolds Classic this weekend But I seen it next to this little kid so I told him to pick it up.I dont even know if it was his,but he looked happy anyway.$10000 would be a different story.Im a pretty honest guy,as far as $ goes,It would depend on the circumstances. If I would hear of someone that lost it I would give it back after asking lots of questions. If not then I would hide it from my wife .This way I would'nt have to lie about the $ when my next cycle was up.
TweetFUZO, so how much did you find buddy ?
TweetI FIND IT HARD TO BELEIVE ANYONE WOULD GIVE BACK 10,000 IF THEY FOUND IT AND NEEDED IT
