Well we just about a new HD DVD player about 4 wks ago when we got the new TV, so it figures they would stop making HD.

Anyone else just purchased a HD DVD?

yeah, I would be pissed if I just thru down for a HD-DVD player because it looks like the end for the HD-DVD. Blu-Ray is just better hi-def with a patented format and trademark name, oh...and the little format issue that makes them incompatible with hd-dvd players and vice-versa.
I just read a little about it and Netflix, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart have went all Blu-Ray, so I guess I need to get out and buy a blu-ray player...or PS3..hehehe

I bought a HD Dvd Drive about a year and a half ago for my x-box 360 so ya I am a little pissed but i really never invested much money into movies.....I was going to buy the PS3 anyways, but still....

Microsoft better do something for those of us that bought thier soon to be obsolete product!

On the other side of the picture the movies are going to drop draatically in price so i will be able to pick up an extensive HD DVD library for real cheap very soon.....

I bought a PS3 on the sole fact I wanted a HD TV and went to get a High Def dvd player but it was MORE expsensive to get a BluRay Player than a PS3. SO I got a game console and High Def blu ray player too.

I had to pick between blu-ray and HD, so I had a 50/50 chance of getting that right. I'm not on a very good roll these days.

When we were in Vegas, I didn't do any gambling because I lost at the vending machine. I put in $2.75 for a water, and got nothing so when I couldn't get a drink to come out, I hit the change back button and got $1.25 back.
