Ok, I'm building an entertainment room in my house and I need a new HDTV. I wont be spending much $$$ on it but it's going to be LCD (doesn't have to be a brand name) and it has to support at least 720p or even better 1080p. Now I know smaller hdtv's will support 720p and other bigger ones above 32" I think support 1080p. Now I will also buy Playstation 3 and my question is: everyone is telling me I need HDMI cable to connect PS3 to my HDTV... do I have to buy HDMI cable separately ? do I need a HDMI cable.. to enjoy the best PS3 experience.

Re: Ok all you TECH gurus HELP... HDTV question..
absolutely. get the hdmi cable. they're not that expensive. get a short 4 or 6 footer, shouldnt' cost more than $50 bucks depending on the brand. in my opinion the picture quality is much better than the regular cables. i dont think you absolutely need it for ps3, but if you're going HD, might as well go all the way, imo. i have a 42 pioneer on the wall with 1080p. awesome awesome awesome picture. when watching some of the nba games, i swear the sweat off these guys will drip down on my floor, crazyness

True on what fit said. The hd capabilities wont even work without the HDMI cables. That is why some people buy hdtv's and say it looks no different than a standard tv.Tough times go away, Tough people do not!!
