Tweetthat's pretty good. I never thought of that one but I would have married my wife sooner as well. That's why when I decided it was time, I couldn't wait. That's how I am about everything when I decide on something. It's right then. No patience. The education is something I've thought about some lately. I've done okay without any college degree. I know alot of people that college seems to have been a big waste of time and money. One reason is that I think most of us right after high school don't have a clue yet so we don't choose the correct path in college. Although in my line of work, even though most of the guys have geography degrees or digital design degrees of some sort. Half the time they can't even read a damn old school truck map for reference. But, in my somewhat mature mind now-days, I have thought about alittle higher learning. Not so much for professional purpose, but for other reasons. I should be alright going full force back into GIS. I shoulda never left it. That would actually be most people's answer to this thread in my situation; would've never left my profession for my business ventures. I wouldn't change it though. I learned some very valuable lessons and grew as a person. We learn alot more from our failures than we do from our successes.
TweetWell, my mistakes have made me a much better man so I don't know that I would have changed too much. But, one thing for sure though, when my father committed suicide I inherited a pretty good chunk of money and stuff that I eventually blew over the years. I would have invested all of it in Microsoft and be one happy mofo right now. You have to realize I'm talking about 1993, right when Microsoft was getting going. Other than that, I don't think I would change to much because it would mean I wouldn't be here with the wife I have and the child I have.
TweetI am like dave and t-bag, the things that I have done in the past have brought me to this point and I am very happy at were I am in life and changing the past would most likely change the present. So I am happy without changing a thing
TweetWouldn't change a thing about my life in general. However if I could get some lotto numbers and go back in time a few weeks that'd be another story, lol!
TweetAgree with FUZO. Better education. As for everything else, it was a life experience and I'm glad I did everything that I did. You can only learn from mistakes.

TweetI would have been more involved with my Father and running the farm. Now that he is gone I run the farm myself and enjoy it so much. Just wish I could share my enthusiasm (sp) that I now have for farming and that I know he had, together. Other than that, Nothing. Like others have said we wouldn't be where we are today if I changed anything else.
Tweet He is right there with you bro

i'd say almost 90% of my mistakes have come from listening to others and not myself
studied economics in college, love the subject
had more patience with that special someone
and not too have:
bare foot skied behind a boat without enough power
staid away from the big group of friends who were all driving drunk, i was the one that got rear ended by a friend at a stop light
both of these accident lead to neck problems which exploded into a death sprial after i continued to try and lift heavy after years of getting better
TweetYeah trip and bowbow, just shoulda not done thinks kinda "half a$$ed". lotta regrets for not getting to know my dad, being more patient with girlfriends..stuff like that I suppose. but hey, I reckon I have about forty or so more years to make up for it. and some twelve years ago when I walked outta that hospital I've been doing it ever since. just being more in control and humble. eg,..I heard this pro snowboarder kid answer back "why do you do all this"? he replied,.."I only have a year to be nineteen"..I thought that was one of tha coolest things I've heard comming from a kid,.now I re-upped my personal trainer contract, got my GF and her daughter a membership, take four kempo classes a week. I have all kinds of boarding and climbing trips I wanna do and tons of things im still planning for this summer now that I have a lil companionship.lol! Regrets ? yeah tons but hey it's never too late to make changes !
