Take 220 minus your age times .85
Take 220 minus your age times .65
This gives you your ranges.
At .65 you become Aerobic
At .85 you become Anerobic
With your heart rate monitor and Cardio equipment of choice. Treadmill,Stairstepper etc. bring your heartrate to the .85 beats per minute then back down to the .65 bpm immediately bring heartrate to.85 bpm plus 5bpm then back down to .65 then back up to .85bpm plus 10 bpm repeat till you can't go anymore... Its a great way to get in shape you can actually watch your cardio improve by how long it takes you to recover back to .65. Another added benefit is recovery after intense sets on the basics.(Squats,Deads etc.) Good luck its real intense!
