I'm looking forward to seeing how they do it again. The padded jousts seem to be in play again.

      Re: 2008: American Gladiators

that show was a little one sided.

Lets meet rob he is a 38 year old investment banker from Florida he weighs 180lbs at 5'10. His opponent is 28 year old Blazer weighing 235 at 6'1. this looks like a great match up.

its a bad as pros vs. joes. some dude who is in terrible shape but he hit 3 home runs in one game when he was 13. They never pick real athletes.

Your right and it would be a lot more entertaining if they picked the more athletic people. I do remember a couple times where they had a couple challengers that looked like they could have been gladiators and they always pissed the gladiators off.

actually, it was pretty cool when those littler dudes smoked 'em. remember billy whats his face (the dude from that movie lost boys) he was in it. long haired skinny white boy smoked those dudes!! went all the way and got all the money!...then, never made another movie again and disappeared, lol

                  LOL!

Yeah, I saw one episode of pros vs. joes where one dude actually beat all or most of his pro competition. Even the pros where giving him props at the end because he was so competative. But, other than that, it's a bunch of jokes. What makes it tough is they combine sports that typically result in that. More times than not, aguy capable of putting a solid hit on a guy like Hershal Walker, won't be able to out rebound someone. Or, a guy capable of covering Michael Irvin won't be able to bull rush the pitchers mound with someone the size of John Rocker on it. Yeah, they difinately stack that show one sided.
