TweetI finally saw it over the weekend. It was really good, but I wish I had seen the movie before the documentary.

TweetWatched it last night and it was pretty good. Still cant touch Gladiator or Braveheart in a theatrical sense and effects looking real. It was good though, give it an 8!
TweetLooks like it to me too..
I bet some of it was make-up but I saw the dieting and training portion of the film and they worked their asses off.

TweetI didn't see it, but my dad did and he loves it. From what I can tell though, the movie is not very accurate. There were more like 5000 soldiers in the minority, not 300. Oh, and they eventually lost the battle. It's actually not one of the more important or interesting battles of that time . . . I guess that's Hollywood for you.
Tweetthat movie kicks some serious ass THIS IS SPARTA!!!
TweetYeah, according to the documentary on it there were a couple thousand Greek soldiers with the 300 Spartans. From what was said in the doc., the movie is inaccurate about several things.
Tweetyea, that what i saw on discovery...there was only around 300 spartan and a couple thousand greeks that retreated. and it did lead (about a year later) to a bigger battle with the spartans and greeks against the persion empier inwitch they where victorious.
