TweetTHAT SH ITTT WOULD PISS ME OFF!
TweetHey computer guru's.... I need some help!
A couple of years ago my wife put a keylogger and software on our computer to spy on me. Now that we are going through a divorce, I came home and was changing mouse's and noticed ANOTHER keylogger on the back of the computer on the keyboard wire. (I use two computers...one for good stuff and one for bad stuff).
So she has put another one on recently. How do I get into the software that she has put on? This software has been put on to keep track of my keystrokes... but how do I find it since it is hidden inside some file somewhere???
Vet here and there....

Tweetwell, if you have nothin to hide, then you should feel fine with it, right?? you'd certainly show her that you have nothin to hide and make her look a fool. Thats the way I feel.
is it a device on the back of the tower or something? certainly you could find it in your programs if she installed software or something?

Tweetactually the inline one does not need software to be installed..
and the keylogger that is installed via software, the user must be an administrator in order to install it..
the better ones will not show up in the process running, but is run as a service, and then you have issues..
best bet.. pull the files you want to keep on to a usb drive that is encrypted, and format and reinstall the OS..
then, during installation, put a password on that you know..
then, as the admin, physically disable the hard drive and the usb and floppy, and in the bios only allow boot from the HD..
that way a the admin password can't be reset using a boot tool..

TweetThanks for the responses.
I spoke to her earlier and mentioned that I found another damn keylogger on the desktop computer and I pulled it off the back of the tower. (It is a device that plugs in between the tower and the keyboard) And when I called her on it, she explained the software actually sent a report via email to her with all the keystrokes (words typed) and websites I had visited....etc.
The only reason why I would have liked to view the items it saved is to see if I had actually done something I should not have on that computer...but I know I didn't.
Last time she pulled this sh*t with me, she had pages and pages of nonsense printed out that she showed me... And I had explanations for EACH ONE that she thought was suspicious.
But I do not use that computer very often anyway so the keylogger did her no good this time and would not have anyway because I don't do any shady sh*t to begin with.
Oh well......looks like I am better off without her crazy jealous a*s anyway. Much less of a headache....
