Tweetway sorry to hear that...i know that feeling, and it sux....take care bro and i'll send some thaught's out your way-dave
Tweetplease be careful bro's. About two weeks ago a very good friend of mine (also his son married my sister) stacked his bike up on a rural road. He was coming around a corner and went head on with another vehicle. He was pinned under the vehicle somehow and without oxygen for a long time.
He got air lifted to a hospital where he was put on life support and into a drug indused coma. He had massive brain swelling, which surgery didn't help. Just found out from my sister that they are taking him off life support today.
I'm just having that crushed, hopeless feeling today.

TweetI'm so sorry to hear that bro. A few years back a buddy of mine smashed into a tree and died about 30 min. later at the hospital. Never a good feeling man.

TweetSorry bro. My wife's best friend died on a bike too. Sad stuff. That's why I refuse to ride......It's easy to control the bike, but it's not easy to control the idiots around you.
My prayers go out to him!
TweetSORRY TO HEAR THAT BRO!!! I RIDE AND IT IS SCARY SOMETIMES!! JUST HAVE TO BE ALERT AT ALL TIMES
TweetVery sorry to hear that.
I've been in 2 incidents, had a friend get paralyzed from mid-chest down and lost a good friend a short time ago from a drunk woman driving home.
None of them being the fault of the rider.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sal
TweetI too have had my fair share of wrecks. One that nearly took my life. Some might remember it (O2 was a big help in keeping my chin up!). In 03' I hit gravel going down a steep grade doing about 40mph into a cliff. Broke 6 ribs, colapsed my left lung, and lost my spleen, spent 10 days in ICU lost 40 lbs et etc....got back on the horse about 3 months later...glutine for punishment...
TweetFeel for ya man I lost a riding buddy 6mo after I started riding head on into a car at ab 75 unfortunetly that kinda stuff happens riding is very dangerous ppl either dont see ya or dont see ya til its to late. Sorry to hear ab ur friend
Tweetagreed. I lost two friends in bike accidents, it's a big risk when you ride. I used to be involved in the clubs, groups, etc., performing stunts and what not, now my helmet is hung up forever, it's not worth it to me anymore.
TweetUpdate: my brother in law pulled life support from my friend yesterday. My friend is currently still with us, heavily sedated for pain but no longer on life support. Its a very small window that has appeared since he is still with us but very slim chances....
Tweetthese southern desert states don't require helmets...your chances of survival are greatly reduced though without one. I'd never ride without one...
