TweetThe big thing about Whote Wheat bread is the first ingredient. You probably know this but I'm going to say it anyways because a lot of people don't know it. The first ingredient must read 'whole wheat flour', now 'enriched whole wheat flour'. I can't tell you how many times these bread companies put '100% Whole Wheat' on the packaging but it's still 'enriched' whole wheat floor which means it's no better for you than white bread. With that said, bread is one of those things we actually pay a little more for in our house to get better quality. But, if money is tight, I would just start reading labels and find out which has 'whole wheat flour' for the best price where you are. Depending on how far it has to go it may be cheaper here than it is there.
