What are your thoughts? I've read that t3 is far inferior to t4, particularly when on GH, but then again it was an Anthony Roberts article, so...........

same question posted on another board...this was a response from RedBaron
I have experimented with both. I can say that in my experience and the experiences of my close group of bodybuilding friends, we haven't been able to prove any real pointed benefit to using T4 over T3. The other thing that has to be considered is that if you are going to use T4, you need to make sure you are taking suppliments and trace minerals (selenium, zinc, copper) for sufficient levels to aid in the conversion of T4 to T3.

T4 is in very simplified terms about 1/4 as effective as T3 ... meaning if I were taking a 25mcg dose of T3, I would want to take approximately 100mcgs of T4 (assuming all of the other support minerals and the like are in order) to get approximately the same level of increase.

I would say honestly if you need thyroid assist, either one will get the job done. In real world terms and in blood panel results, measurable body recomposition results, and just about every other way we have come up with to test the two ... they do the same thing, with no great advantage either way. T4 is just slightly more tricky as you need to consider the support supps to make sure the conversion to T3 happens as it should.
