Tweetpretty much impossible to have that reaction to lorecet (vicodin)..it was probably oxy as u said mixed with alcohol or other pills..its a tough thing to be addicted to, and the hardest thing to come off...hope she recovers well
TweetGive it a second thought for yourself and your family. Some of you guys here know about everything I went through with my ex wife and her addiction and attempted suicide and this past week, my buddy went through somthing very similar.
His ex wife (been divorce for about 5 yrs or so now) has been into the pills and what not for quite some time, but like most folks thought she could control it. Well over this past weekend, she was at death's door. She was on whatever and a couple of her so called "friends" were over and one of them gave her what they claim was a half of a loracet. I call bullshiot on that one, the rumor is it was oxycontin. Anyway, the ****tail was too much for her. Her liver shut down, kidneys shut down and she was placed on a vent. Her children were absolutely devasted and plenty old enough to understand what happened. She is still in ICU, but slowly recovering and time will tell how much permanent damage was done.
I know that some of you like to party and enjoy the pills but please for your sake, your families sake and your children (if you have any) cut it out. We all have our vices and do what we know isn't exactly beneficial to our health, but things can spiral out of control before you even know it's gotten that far. Once that line is crossed, you're stuck. We've all lost or at the very least known people who've lost loved ones due to this very thing. If you're a true friend and know of someone heading down that path, man up and tell em. If they get pissed, so fukkin what? If you yourself are heading down that path, then take a look at your family. Ask youself why am I doin this? If it stems from depression then stop trying to self medicate the symptoms and take steps towards a cure.
I don't mean to sound like a public service announcement, but this is just something that destroys so many families. Just be careful, be smart.

TweetWell said kite. Rec drugs have destroyed many lives, and probably we all know at least one person who suffers this addiction. I hope for the childrens' good that this woman is able to recover without too much damage done. Hopefully both she and her children will learn a lesson about the potential danger involved with this stuff.
Tweeti enjoy a perc from time to time....very time to time. not often, but other than that i have no interest in it. i've seen some friends dwindle away to almost nothing from that ****. if you can't get through a day without taking any (and for no reason) you need help.
good post kite!
TweetI think makers of Oxy's just got sued and had to pay bout $640 million or so for lying on potential for abuse
TweetVery true -
I have a co-worker who has a bad problem with vics, etc.
It's really a shame to see someone in that condition.
I can only imagine how I used to look.
Never had a prob with vics, or percs or oxy(never took it) they just don't have that effect on me but I did have a slight prob with Tramadol. And it started with a script for a back problem. I had to give myself a wake up call and dropped all my 'habits' cold turkey. That was a bit rough but it needed to be done. That and divorce plus a change in overall lifestyle. I don't wish for those days ever again!
The arse kicker is the doc has me Ultram-ER(extended release) right now and I am leery about using them too often. They don't have the effect the regular pills did and I don't use them to get a buzz but I am being extra cautious anyway.
Pills are just too easy to get hooked on - they're available everywhere.
For the most part you can still function if you don't go overboard at any one time but it's all to easy to go off the deep end for that one "good time"
I hope if anyone does have an issue with them they can see for themselves that something needs to be done.

TweetSeems like the thing to do amongst the kids nowadays. was never into the pill thing myself, when im in pain I just deal with it. pretty sad situation for anybody becoming dependant.
Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.
