She's being sued for saying "That's so gay!"!!!
It's ok for them to pick on her religon, but it's not okay for her to say "That's so gay?"!
This is what this world is coming to. All of this conservativness! Oh better cover up you might offend someone. Better watch every word I say it might offend someone, I better not voice my true opinion it might offend someone!!
What ever happened to speaking what your true thoughts are?
What ever happened to being able to say things without fear of getting in a lawsuit, or being accused of anything?
WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO "STICKS AND STONES WILL BREAK MY BONES, BUT NAMES WILL NEVER HURT ME???!!!"
This nation is becoming a bunch of poooceeeee's! I'm so sick of everyone being fake, beating around the bush, not speaking up, being afraid of voicing your true opinion!
Many people might not like me because I'm so outspoken. But the difference is atleast they know I speak my true thats, and atleast I know I'm man enough to speak my true thoughts.
This is just another example of why every other country in the world hates us so damn much. When is enough going to be enough?
Tweetyou read it wrong! The girl that got in trouble by her school forsaying "that is gay" is suing the school for denying her freedom of speech
TweetI could be wrong but I read it as her parents were sueing b/c the school has a double standard since she was sent to the principle's office for saying "that's so gay" when the school didnt try and protect here from the comments that were made about her religion...
TweetGay is wrong so what the hell is the problem with saying it? Man shet is getting deep in this world huh guys?
TweetFirst off, the word 'gay' was used long before homosexuals were associated with it. So, it's not 'their' word so they shouldn't be offended. Good night, this is ridiculous.
This is the double standard I keep talking about. Those who harp on civil rights and equal rights and freedom of speech are only talking about the things 'they' want to hear or have. They don't really want 'freedom' of speech, they only want the 'freedom' to hear what 'they' want to hear. They are hypocrites.
This country has become a bunch of nancy pansies when it comes to words that offend them. Seriously, you guys know how conservative I am, but if a person want to bash Jesus Christ, I'm not going to walk up to them and get all irate and threaten them. I actually feel sorry for them and will say a prayer for them. That's the right thing to do. But, this kind of thing is everywhere. Every group of people on this planet have members who supress the rights of others. It's just a fact.
If this school honestly believes in freedom of speech then they need to show it. Saying 'that's so gay' is so trivial it's amazes me that anyone would be bothered by it.

I for once am in 100% agreement with you Tmann. Political corectness is garbage, and actually is a direct violation of the rights this country was founded upon.
I too am tired of everyone whining when they don't like what they hear. To bad! Such is life!
Tweetbtw, when I say "That's gay" I mean "That's not cool". So why gay people take offense to that is beyond me. If they don't like it they can move out of the country to a place where they don't have freedom of speech!
TweetI agree. I had a very wise man tell me once.."you are in control of your emotions. If someone says something it is up to you whether that something offends you or not. You must never give control of your emotions to another man. If something that was said offends you, it's because you allowed it to." (I'm paraphrasing, but that's the jist of it) This was an old man I knew back in ATL. This guy was so right. So what if someone says something about my God, so what is someone says something about gays, so what if someone says something about race, never allow another man to controlyour emotions, never. It's very hard, but it's true. Ultimately, we have the control. You think the stuff Tim Hardaway said offended ALL gay people? Nope, just the ones that allowed to let it bother them. Why? Getting all worked up over something someone says is not going to change them or take it back, it's just going to take time and energy from you.
TweetAgreed!
I don't like a lot of stuff on TV, but I don't get together and complain about it. I dont picket outside the TV stations, I just turn the channel.
Tweeti agree political correctness is out of hand..of course people should have some decency and not say things that will purposely hurt people, but you should say what u feel and act how u feel. Saying "thats so gay" could be about anything its a phrase not to be taken literally..so that persons retarded.

TweetSee! You guys do understand where I'm coming from!!! I knew it!! This whole P.C. stuff is just getting too outrageous. If I see an African American man standing in my kitchen at 2:25am, by me saying "Get your smelly spear chucking saucer lip ass out of my house", That's not a personal attack at all.
I guess I could say "Why are you in my kitchen? You're so gay!" That doesn't have the same effect. But I believe this whole political correctness thing is waaay out of hand. it's rediculous. Having to worry about what you say to get sued. Stupid.
