My goal was to have a sportbike this summer. I wasnt able to save like I wanted to, so I want to sell the Jeep and just ride the bike for a while.

I need help choosing/looking for something though. I want a sport bike. Im 6'4" so I need something thats a good size.

I've heard the zx6 ninja are pretty good for tall riders. I've ridden a busa but I think thats out of my price range.

      Any other ideas?

If it was me I would go with the Yamaha R-1. I'm 6'2" and it fits me fine. You will get many many biased opinions on which bike is better or faster. Just go with the one that you like, because when it comes down to it who gives a shiot what other people think, they aren't the ones riding it.

Well yeah I think all sport bikes in actuality are fast. Some are faster than others but all fast compared to anything else on the road, they're fast. I got that busa up to 175 racing my buddy on his r6. I flew by him like he was standing still. It scared the hell out of me when I looked down at that speedo. Not looking for the fastest bike out there now, just something stylish and comfortable for a tall rider. I owned an 01 gsxr 750 and my friends told me I looked huge on it. Just wondering what else is out there.

What kind of Jeep do you have?

Since you're an experienced rider go with any of the 1000CC bikes. You won't look big sitting on any of those.

Do you have another car? If it was me, I would keep the jeep, but that's me. Jeeps are just bad ass! More bad ass than a bike because of what you can do with them. No offense to the bike dudes, but let's face it, bike riders are at much bigger risks these days with irresponsible drivers on the road. I saw a dude just two days ago almost get run off the road because the guy in the truck didn't see him. He had to lock it up and barely got out from the side of the truck. Not to mention the car behind him that almost crushed him. If people would take the time to pay better attention when they drive, it would be a much safer place for bike riders. If I ever got one, I would get a Harley with some load ass pipes. That way, there is no mistake that a bike is somewhere in the vacinity. Even in my small town (about 600k people) we have people killed on bikes all the time. It's mostly the crotch rockets though. I don't remember the last time a guy was killed on a Harley or similar type bike. For me, I would stick with the Jeep and save up for the bike. That way you have both. Jeeps are just bad ass. I would love to get another Jeep. I had a Cherokee and a Acura before I moved to CO. I put both up for sale and the Jeep went in two days. It sucks because I would have loved to have kept that bad boy. But, I'm also looking at it with a Colorado mindset. So, don't listen to me, LOL.

thats bull**** the ride height on the 600cc bikes is close to if not identical to the liter bikes. the R6 and R1 share the same frame. the delta box III The 6's just have smaller engines. just like people think the 1ks are so much heavier. the dif is like less then 15lbs dry weight. if you have rode for years get a liter bike if u want to dick around and open the bike up in the city get a 6. I may or may not be partial to yamaha. but i did have a zx6 ninja and I love the HOnda 600 and 1000RRs.

I hear ya T-Man. I have an '03 Harley Fatboy..loud pipes save lives..dont believe me? i have been saved a few times because of those loud pipes.

I ride because I love it, but I also pay very close attention to those around me because there is still the chance someone doesn't see or hear you...I dont ride crazy because I don't trust others on the road..but when I get on the back roads I twist the throttle and eat the bugs on the way down the road.

LOL, eat the bugs! That's funny. Yeah, that's the advantage of those style of bikes, people can hear you better even at lower RPMs. I would love to get a Fatboy one day, but it's not anywhere in the near future. I think I would have to go with dirt bikes or ATVs first for the father and son bonding time. Some of my best memories were out riding dirt bikes with my dad. It's just a good time, especially if it's muddy, then it's awesome! As far as the back roads, you would love Colorado. Once you get off the beaten path, theres nothing but open roads winding through mountains. It's absolutely the best state to just get out and drive in my opinion.
