TweetWell if it's a Polaroid you have to shake it dummy, didn't you listen to the song???? J/k, that sucks. Sounds like some of my luck.
TweetWarning don't ever buy a Polaroid LCD tv. They are absolute trash.
I bought this tv as a bedroom tv and it was an absolute piece of garbage. First off the picture quality was horrible, and only became acceptable after spending $150.00 on Monster cable THX cables. The audio was worse than a clock radio. And worst of all after watching it no more than 10 times in a year , the volume turn itself all the way up, then all the way down. Normally that wouldn't effect anything since I use a home theater with it anyway, but even if you mute the sound you still have "Volume" on the screen in the middle of the picture!
After contacting Polaroid they said since I was 17 days out of warranty (past their so called grace period of one month) they won't exchange it, and I have to pay to have it shipped back, then I have to pay them $150.00 for another piece of garbage from them.
No wonder Polaroid is no longer a big wig in the camera industry. Their products are horrible, and they don't stand behind them!
Don't be taken for a fool like I was!

TweetIF ITS AN HDTV....YOU HAVE TO HAVE HI DEF CABLE. OR IT LOOKS LIKE GARBAGE. I HAVE 2 HI DEF SONY WIDESCREEN LCD TV'S AND I LOVE THEM.
Tweetsorry about your luck DJ, that really bites the big one.
just a little info on this stuff:
if its a hdtv it has 1 (or 2) HDMI inputs and 1 (or 2) component inputs on the rear of it.
HDMI goes from your box/satelite to your TV and give you HD only......looks great on HD, looks like crap on STV standard TV programs
thats where components come in, they give you the best picture for standard tv broadcasts.
so its a PAIN, some TV have it built in (IDK how) but I have to switch between hdmi input and component input if im watching HD or STV......its worth it for HD though, i have a 50" samsung.
Component cables
HDMI cable
my TV, (dont mind the mess, house is under construction)
TweetNice setup bro. Next step a maid! HAHAHAHAHA
TweetMan that sucks bro.....Me and the gf got a 46 inch Panasonic plasma and couldnt be happier...Its all in the luck really what you get....some may have the same tv and love it....
Tweet/LOL
if you knew where these TV comes from and how much they cost
my company was supposed to introduce a new brand of LCD and Plasma TV, but we backed down (thanx god)
anyway
tell me, what it says behind the tv (made where, etc...)
three doodoo is back! Hide your women!
TweetI had a friend who had an older polariod big screen and it kept going out...cost $500 a pop each time it shut down...
TweetYeah I'll post that up this weekend. I have it mounted to the wall right now, and it's a complete pain in the asss to take down.
That's what seperates good companies from bad ones. I had a sony playstation 2 that was out of warranty by a full year and they not only sent me a brand new one, but they paid for shipping both ways.
These scumbags won't even stand behind a product that is 17 days out of warranty. I wouldn't be as pissed if I atleast got my money out of it. But I mean 10 times for $200?! I got hosed on that one!
TweetYour right to a degree. When I used to work at circuit city ten years ago, the same tv's would come in over and over. There were certain one's that's pictures were amazing, but reliability sucked. And then there were ones that's picture was ok, but were extremely reliable. It all depends.
Plus many companies that are good 5 years later might suck because they became full of themselves and figured since they were considered a name brand, they can start nickel and diming with cheaper parts. Thats why so many companies fall flat on their face. They forget in the end it's the consumer that needs to be happy since they pay the bills!
TweetPioneer ,Samsung , Panasonic are one of the best for tv's .
"Workout each rep till I drop the uglyiest , meanest face"
Tweetvery nice .....samsung !
