TweetWell I did it ! I got alot of congrats, handshakes, and pats on the back. all the Sensi's said I was really impressive too. way cool feeling,..like a high ! and it wasn't as long as my yellow belt test. one of our guys sprained his knee which should put him down for a bit. I did have a lil party with some bro's lastnight...they drank all my beer. which is ok cause im kinda feelin' it this morning. im glad its over, that lil week of training took a lot out of me. so im going to take it easy today, watch some games, eat, do some BH's, spank the monkey and cat nap. Thanks everybody for all the support and best wishes !

just trying to relive my younger years in the gym all while being in my upper 50's
Tweetwat to go bro!!!
TweetThanks so much ! hey, ya just gotta do it. I really never got to join anything because we moved so much. about a year ago I noticed a couple of dojos where I used to live, Kung fu and Kempo. I would drive by and think about joining. I figured I was too old and stuff, but one day I said s#it !, "jus go check it out". I allways liked Ed Parkers Kempo anyway. I cant begin to explain how much of a difference it made in my life. I have something that can never be taken away from me, money, girlfriends whatever. I can do this anywhere, I dont need expensive gear, weather etc. it also gives me the opportunity to express myself,..in front of an audience. and im allways progressing too. hell, I never got any smiley face stickers or certificates in bulls#it school ! I get all kinds of rewards doing this, not just in material but from praise from my classmates and sensi's from all the other schools. I will admit,..I like the fact people are less apt to f#@k with me now too. I just laugh like hell and hear bones snapping when someone flips me off in traffic, or young chumps in wife beaters walking by all puffed up with the air lats. aside from all that,..I feel like im getting younger too. A classmate once told me, "we all wish we shoulda' done this years ago, but you're doing it now is what counts". so go for it bra !!
