TweetYep, sometimes when I'm stressed I go through that. I'm just not in the mood. I hate it too. How bad is it bro? You might want to get on some test to boost things.
TweetOkay I'm usually huge fan of humour but please no jokes.
I've for the last few years had a dramatic decrease in my sexual drive. And now it's to the point where I barely even have a sexual drive. It's starting to take a toll on my wife and I don't know really what else to do.
I still don't have health insurance so going to a doctor is out of the question as of this moment. I'm almost 27 and shouldn't be experiencing these problems. I'm not on any steroids, supplements, or medications so it's not caused by anything like that.
I don't think it's E.D. because when I'm in the mood I have no problem getting and keeping an erection. But maybe it could be a sign of it. I don't know.
Anybody else have this problem??

TweetPretty bad. Let's put it this way, it's bad enough for me to post about it. That's the type of thing I don't like really making public, but when you have nowhere else to go, you do what's necessary.
TweetLike T-man said stress does that to me sometimes. It could also be just naturally declining test. levels. Maybe try some otc stuff like Bulgarian Trib. or any kind of tribulus for that matter. Stuff works pretty good.
TweetI think he's too young to be having his level drop too much. You are in your 20's, right DJ?
Yeah, I think he said he is about to be 27. I know its not common that young, but I guess anythings possible. It could also just be a mental deal DJ
Tweetit is very difficult to say what can be the cause as the human system is a complex thing. anxiety and depression could be a factor whilst it would not be correct to say that depression causes low libido, because i would say depression and low libido are symptoms of something, no one can really tie down what depression is on the whole but men who show symptoms of depression often report low libido as well as decreased energy and enthusiasm, it is difficult to know if you are in anyway depressed as sometime you can change little by little and not notice and so you dont feel that different from how you felt a month ago etc etc.
from studies that have been done over the years it has been noted that testosteone levels have been dropping steadily since the 1950s , depression has been rising.. one theory is the social changes that have happened in that time have made life more stressful and very much less certain , for men in particular . Environmental factors such as chemical in food and water that mimic estrogen may be a factor.
what is interesting is that if you go to a doctor to have bloodwork done , the results will be shown alongside a range of values considered the 'normal' , what is interesting is that if you had pretty low testosterone as long as it appeared in the normal range , a doc might probably say your testosterone is normal. the problem is that the normal range includes what is 'normal' for men of all ages. it is noticed that mens free testosterone levels decresase as they age and their sex hormone binding globulin levels rise.
i think it is pretty scandalous that a youngish guy with low libido or ed can get blood tests and come out with a normal result even though he could have test levels of a man double his age.
I would consider getting bloodwork done and see what your levels are , there are plenty of pretty young guys on testosterone therapy. by the way it needent cost the earth either. ug labs and homebrew!
Whilst i wouldnt advise go do such and such a thing without considering your options but testosterone is a natural hormone and people routinely all sorts of shit in their bodies , some herbs like tribulus, are believed to help with testosterone, some people swear by it others say its rubbish. horny goatweed is another.
Tweetstress has done it to me before.
Tweetmaybe its time for some test.. like LB said it could be depression or stress..i go through stages like this too and im 23

TweetHere's a simple way to tell if it's physiologic (e.g, E.D) or stress related...if you wake up with an erection--even on occasion--then it's not E.D. If you can get an erection "by yourself" then it's ot E.D.
Now E.D. usually does progress gradually once the initial symtpoms show. But still, what you're describing sounds non-physiologic and like these guys have already mentioned, stress is the number one cause for symptoms like these.
TweetWhen I want to get an erection I usually don't have a problem. But my problem is I'm just never in the mood, therefore I can't get an erection if I'm not in the mood. I want to be in the mood, but I just can't get in the mood at all! It sucks I feel like an old man. I have been getting very tired alot lately, and I feel drained most of the time. I need to usually drink coffee in order to work out. Strange thing is I'm ADHD so I used to be super hyper and I wouldn't need anything to work out. I don't know what's been up with me lately.....
Thanks everyone for keeping serious. I'll be giving a round of reps to everyone.
TweetI can relate to what you're going through. I've been experiencing the same symptoms which I attribute to this dutasteride I'm using to prevent hair loss as well as some depression that has set in from having had a few set backs in my life recently. As I feel the dutasteride is really combating hair loss, I really don't want to nix it at this point. I've generally been feeling run down and my sex drive has definitely taken a hit. I've tried all the herbal concoctions (tribulus, maca, horny goat weed, avena sativa, ginseng, etc). None of them seem to do anything. I'm going to give Dostinex (Cabergoline) a shot as it's purported to increase libido. I'll let you know it goes.
Tweetme and my wife went through the same thing. i was about the same age. i think it was my career. i was way stressed. concentrating on moving up the ladder, working 7 days a week. it was pretty ruff. my wife was convinced i was having an affair...it got pretty ugly, and lasted for a few years. it was hard to hold our relationship together, but when i left that job and moved to mich. everything changed. i'm not suggesting that you move...it's just that i didnt think there was a prob. and looking back, i wish i had known. relieve your stress...someway, somehow, and it will all come back together. jmo

TweetMan I've gone through that too. I've got a pretty high stress job and then dealing the kids and all, sometimes sex is the last thing on my mind. You really need to get some ins. man. You may wanna try some tribulus, that shit always kicks me into teenage mode.
