TweetAre your symptoms worse after meals...especially is you consume fatty or greasy foods? Also, along with checking you AST/ALT you could have your Alkailine Phosphatase checked. If there is gall bladder inflammation (cholecystitis), then your Alk. Phos will be eleveated and surgery is usually recommended. You may also have intermittent "biliary colic" which is when you have gall stones that every once in a while plug the outlet of bile leaving the gall bladder, but there is NO inflammation of the gall bag and all your liver enzymes are completely normal. An ultrasound would be able to detect the presence of gall stones. Surgery for this is not required, though many chose to have their gall bladder remove if symptoms are either persistent or worse over the course of time.
Hope this helps.
TweetI do I currently have symptoms .... however mine is more of a small bloated feeling in the right upper abdominal area. It can be painful on full or empty stomach and I usually dont eat greasy foods, which can exacerbate symptoms. I also dont have symptoms that radiate to the shoulder blades as of yet. I do wonder...it seems when I increase my weight on abs/training that it seems to exacerbate the symptoms??
Tweetmy mom had her's removed about a month ago...she had the upper quadrant pain and she had contractions...that thing was yanked in a heartbeat b/c it just kept getting worse...
TweetI agree with Arch get an ultrasound first Fuzz. Also, what kind of anti-e are you taking?
TweetIT GETS BETTER WHEN I EAT OR DRINK MILK

TweetSounds more like a gastric (stomach) problem vs. you gall bladder. Do you have a history of acid reflux? Maybe trying some tums or another over the counter anti-acid tablet.
TweetDoes it burn? just wondering what kind of probs your having.

TweetThat's weird that it feels better when you eat or drink milk. Unless of cousres it's the think Arch mentioned and the milk or food is changing the elevated levels of Alk Phos.
