Teen Admits Raping Mother To Get Revenge On Brother

(Albertville, Ala.) -- Police say a Marshall County, Alabama teen raped his mother to get revenge on his brother.

Police say 19-year-old Gary Helms, Jr., raped his 45-year-old mother this past weekend at Willow Terrace Trailer Park on Doyle Drive in Albertville.

It's a twisted crime that police say Helms admits.

"From what we understand the rape stemmed from an argument between him and his brother. And apparently they were arguing over a girlfriend. And the rape was some sort of retaliation towards his brother," said Sgt. Jamie Smith of the Albertville Police Department.

It was unusual retaliation on an unsuspecting victim.

Authorities say Helms' mother was apparently passed out drunk on the couch when the rape started.

"During the attack, she did come to and recognize her attacker, Smith said.

That's when, according to the police report, the mother "tried to get away, but he held her down until he was finished."

"It's totally sick is what it is," said Smith.

Helms was arrested and charged with the first degree rape of his own mother.

Smith says it's hard to wrap your mind around.

"Shocked, shocked would be more a better way to describe it. That somebody would dip to the lows to do something of this nature. It's just pretty much a shock to the conscience of the general public," said Smith.

Helms is being held in the Marshall County Jail on $100,000 bond.

TweetAll I can say is.....wow...but for some reason it just doesn't surprise me. People are getting sicker and sicker every damn day. Sick bastards killing little children, having sex with children, raping people, going into schools and killing innocent kids, raping you own mom....what's next? This country is going to the shitter because we are too easy on criminals. Think about it, if they told you 'sell drugs to a kid and we will tie you to a tree in the wilderness and let a bear or mountain lion eat you alive'. How many people might think twice before selling drugs to kids. If they told you 'molest a child and we will let all of the family member beat you to death'. How many people would think twice before molesting a child.

Did you know that the USA has only 5% of the entire world's population, yet, we house 25% of the entire world's prisoners. Why? Because the punishment doesn't fit the crime. You go steal something small like a piece of fruit or a tee shirt in a third world country and see what they do to you. Yet, you do that here and they slapyou on the hand. You kill someone and in most states you go to prison and with good behavoir you can get out one day. That's totally phuked up. People say 'people make mistakes'. Yeah, but they would make alot less if the punishment was severe enough. And I'm not talking death row, that's BS too. Some of those dude sit on there for over 20 years. Not good enough. It's needs to be public, in needs to be humiliating and it needs to be severe pain. That and only that will make people think twice. Go to prision...yeah, great idea, let me pay for this worthless piece of crap to have 3 hot meals, a roof over their head and a bed to sleep in. That's not justice for molesting a child, raping someone or murdering someone. IMO
