Drug testing results have been returned from the IPF Bench Press World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary in May. Fifteen lifters tested positive from five countries, Russia, Ukraine, Portugal, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Twelve of the lifters were given two year bans. Elena Fomina (2nd) and Evgeniy Matasov (1st & World Record) of Russia, and Alexei Sivokon (1st & World Record) of Kazakhstan were given lifetime bans. The other banned lifters were:

A year or so ago, they lost one of their best lifters, Oleksander Kutcher from the Ukraine (a freak among freaks) due to testing. They've been under a ton of scrutiny lately over the lifters being jacked, mostly over seas lifters. Personally, I think they should just do away with the testing and let the freaks be freaks, but they want to be accepted into the olympics so...........
