I know you're into the Governmental cover ups, and killing whitey, and all that good stuff. So I was wondering if you know anything about this:
A few years ago, a car company was working on an experimental carburetor on a car. A queit experiment of the sort. Well, the car was accidentally shipped to a dealership. A person bough the car, and apparently drove around in it for about 200 miles, and hardly used a quarter tank of gas. The car company found out who bought it, and tracked the guy down. They offered him something like, $3 million, to keep his mouth shut. Apparently, this carburetor was kept a secret, and never went into production because the fuel companies paid it NOT to go into existance.

That's an old story. My brother told me that same story about ten years ago. He read that it happened in like the 50's or 60's. Hence the reason they did it with a carbeurator and not fuel injection.

I heard it was a Honda and that a lady accidentally bought it and she got like 400miles out of hardly any gas. LOL Urban myth.

What is true is this: a few engineers have created protype ethanol engines that could get much better gas mileage than the ones used today and OPEC has bought the patends to keep control over it. Think about it, you invent this engine to save money and be a hero. Then OPEC says they will buy the patend for a billion dollars or something sick like that, what would you do? I bet everyone on here would sell in a heart beat. I'd like to think I could say no, but I doubt I would with the kind of money OPEC would offer to keep an engine like that off the market.

PS- If the American car company wants to take back America they need to start making more ethanol cars and force gas stations to carry ethanol. This will force the price of crude oil to go down to compete and people will have the American car company to thank. But, until someone actually takes the first step, it's never going to get better.

actually bro...it's being done now. gm has put together ehonal silverado 4x4's, tahoes, sububans, and others. they struck a deal with myers (like a super walmart with bigger grocery section) to carry the ethanol in 25 metro detroit stores as a test run. they shipped 450 ethanol trucks through flint auto auction, ranging from 250 miles to 1500 miles, in order to push them into the market...(us usedcar guy's always get the job done), they wanted them to hit "across corporate boaders" (ford stores, chrysler stores)...i bought 4. sold them with in 3 weeks...now people are calling me to find out were to get the ethonal, lol...if all goes well, you'll see this take off by 08. the truck were 07's and i baught them in may!

oh, and i forgot to mention...ford has had ethonal vehicles on the market since the mid to late 90's. i still see them on the road. watch for tauruses and rangers (the most popular made flex fuel) with a little badge on them, with a leaf and a road...there called flex fuel vehicles. all sables 04-06 are flex fuel vehicles...now, if we can only get mikey and his kin to open some ethonal stations!

I'm not a huge Ford fan, but I wouldn't be surprised if they start the trend. Ford always starts the trend and everyone else follows suit. I gotta give them that, they have the balls to try things!

google frod flex fuel vehicles. they started with them back in the 80's! the proplem was, they cost a little more, and there is no service stations. they mainly sold them to manicibalities (sp?). they didnt get better milage, they just burned "greener". at the time, ethonal cost more, if you could find it. you wont see ford lead the charge on this one....been there. they have the tech. they'll just let gm play with this awhile, and see where it goes. with mds systems, and other displacement systems, they get much better milage now, it's just, where to get ethonal?

Ford already has a design to save gas. The car breaks down so much, you have to push them everywhere. BRILLIANT!
