I've never had them leave a scar.. I get them ocasionally on my neck after I shave and maybe one or two on my chest after I shave but I just always pick the hair out with some tweezers. Maybe just dont shave against the grain. Or before you shave put a rag soaked in hot water on the area you are about to shave.

If your as hairy as iam i don't shave there, i use a trimmer with the lowest trimmer attachment, its prob a 1/4". If you are shaving, of course shave with the way the hair is growing, not against it. Don't shave for awhile till they grow, or break thru the skin. You can use a lotion, but make sure you use a fragrance free and derma tested one. If they are festering and causing pimples from the ingrowth, i guess the best thing it to pop them or try to pluck them out, then use alittle peroxide and wipe it off.

Try to make the skin as soft as possible - warm compress. Then pop it and get at it with some tweezers and pull the hair follicle out. Once out cleanse it with an astringent - Sea Breeze.

I agree with this. I would say soak in a very very hot bath for like 20 minutes. That will open the pores and bring the head to the surface. Once there, pop it and remove the whole hair, root and all, with tweezers.

I made the mistake of shaving like twice and I was coveredin ingrown hairs. I went against the grain but I learned that from now on I do like Mick and I buzz it with no guard at all. It's close enough that you cant see it but it's uncomfortable to the touch. My wife hates it so you have tosee what works best for you. Maybe swtich to the shave with the grain and see if that helps.

I heard once that ou should be up at least and hour before shaving. Something to do with fluids, body temp and chemical adjustments. I don't know if theres any truth to that but it somewhat makes sense.

FUZO, I use some stuff called Tendskin, You can get it online or at beauty supply stores for about 20 bucks a bottle. It is the only thing that works for me other than trying to shave with the grain. It works well for the back acne also FYI.

It might be how you are shaving your chest. An old man that was a barber told me never shave against the grain first. Shave with the grain first and then against if you need to. Also you should use a shave cream for extra sensitive skin. Also, depending on the razor and how sharp it is. If you use disposable..... use a new one each time and see if that will help.
