TweetSo get this. I`ve got this new boss. His business isn`t so sucessful and I gather that his wife is a tough lady so he`s got some stress...

The other day I`m 4 minutes late to work. When I pull up to the school (I teach English at a private cram school) he`s standing in the street. Arms crossed staring at me with a look on his face that I can`t even describe. LIke I`m the devil or somthing. Way worse than the situation called for.

As I get out of the car, I apologize immedately. There were three different construction crews on the road to work (how often does THAT happen?) He says "Ok Ok, come on! lets go." Perhaps he doesn`t think that I`m walking fast enough from the car to the school because as I pass him..

The punk slaps me on the back of the arm as if to say "MOVE FASTER".
Fuuker reached out in anger and touched me in an angry way.



Now let me set the stage just a bit. I`m a master teacher, mom was a teacher, dad was a teacher, granma too plus my mom`s two sisters and my little sister. His customers are so happy. And this M F A hole slaps me for being late ONE TIME by 4 min.

What do you think I should do?

TweetI have a short fuse when it comes to things like that that occur out of complete disrespect for another. I would have turned around right then and grabbed his hand and said look if you touch me out of anger like that again the next hand you see will be nailing shut your coffin. LOL

But seriously, being in another counrty and all that might be a cultural norm for them. He may have not done it out of malice but just cause he wanted to speed you up a bit. If it is something that really bothers you though, I would go to him directly and sit down and explain to him how you took his action and in the future for him to reconsider how he deals with his stress or anger.

TweetSuperdog that's a tough one but if it was me I'd put him in his place. I would have stopped in my tracks turned and looked at him and say "did you just hit me?" If he says yes I'd give him a real quick push to the center of the chest with a quick burst of momentum and send him flying back onto the floor. Then say you hit me and I'll hit you back. Don't ever do that again!

TweetI did talk to him afterwards. I told him that when I found him standing in the street, glaring at me and then when he pushed me as I walked into the school. "Well", I said "that`s not polite".

Of course, he agreed and apologized immedately. But at this point, It`s allready on. I hate the Mo Fo. I`m just debating quitting tomorrow vs. telling all of his students (who love me) about it and stealing them to my school (which I just opened) vs. just giving him 90 days notice that I`ll be leaving.
