Legend takes on the best welterweight fighter in UFC and most likely MMA history. Royce an MMA legend been here since the first UFC with a record of 13-2-3.. Both loses with his family "Camp" throwing in the towel. Hughes sporting a 38-4 record, right there we see who is more active. Perfect example is this; Gracie's last fight's show as follow.. 1 fight in 2003, 1 fight in 2004, and 1 fight in 2005.. only 5 fights..from 2000 till 2005.. Not very active………………

TweetGracie is old but I'm sure he still has the moves! He's from the bloodline that invented Brazilian Jui-jitsu. I like Matt Hughes but Gracie is the man!!!Originally Posted by O2BESOHUGE

TweetGracie will be in huge trouble if he cant keep Hughes on the mat.
TweetGracie has submitted dudes far bigger and stronger than Matt. I think the problem Gracie might have is that Matt is good on the mat as well. Should be a good fight. Let's face it...probably going to be boring to the average observer but a good fight none the less.
TweetQuite honestly, the reason Royce Gracie left UFC before is because they were sick of his style of ground grappling. Hence the reason now if there's no activity on the floor, they make you stand up and start again. Royce is a great submission artist, if not the best, However, his fights were always long, drawn out, and boring. He would mount you, then wait 15 minutes for you to make a mistake, then capitolize. Those days in UFC are over. I think Hughes KO's him. Ken Shamrock has shown what age does a once great fighter. Shamrock is nothing but a legend now. I can't stand to see the guy fight anymore because it's pathetic. Once again, I like Hughes by KO.

TweetI also think he'll win by knockout. Gracie is definately a legend, however there are faaaaar better fighters then him. He's primarily a ground grappler and thats it. I think Hughes will be the favorite to win this time.
TweetHughes is awesome on the mat too! I've seen that dude in an arm bar and pick the dude up off the mat and slam him back down. I've also seen him get put in a triagle and pick the dude all the way up to the top of the fence and then slam him back down. That's was the dude he took the title from. Hughes is not going to be sumitted easily. What you have to realize is that when Gracie was dominating the UFC no one knew anything about submission. Now, they all know it. Gracie is going to have to fight a guy who knows the stuff he's going to do and who is much stronger than he is. This is not going to be like it was for him, everyone know about submissions now and they train to avoid them.Originally Posted by Gooseneck
