if he can't knock you out in the beggining of the first round you'll take him. he gets gassed like no other. It takes so much energy to move his massive self he fades very quickly...

If he connects, feel lucky that you lived through it.

Actually it looks like it is hard for him to make a direct hit...he seems so overwhelmed or gung ho to attack?

He's not a skilled fighter in the least. Thing is, as big and strong as he is, he doesn't have to fully connect to put you on the mat. Plus, take what said in my first post....he attacks with fury in hopes of landing the crushing blow quickly. he can go through your gloves and still knock you out....his matches usually dont last very long.

I've seen him call his own fights twice bc he was to exhausted to continue...

Besides K-1, Bob Sapp also fights in "Pride Fighting Championship." Pride is fought at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. It has similar rules to the UFC with a few differences and is fought in a ring not a cage. Elbows are not allowed in Pride and are in the UFC and kicking/ kneeing on the ground is legal in Pride while it isn't in the UFC.

I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or sincererity. hahaha I thought I would throw a Pride run down out there in case someone was unfamiliar with the Japanesse organization.

Also, K-1 is mostly fought in Japan but k-1 events have been held in Holland, Lithuania, USA(Vegas and Hawaii), South Korea and Brazil. Bob Sapp has only fought in Japan except for the Souel's Hero's event that was fought in South Korea.

it was true sincereity I did ask to know/learn more

and I wasnt aware of the diff organization either....I was just wondering why I kept seeing the foreign words on the ring and never English. Just wondering if perhaps he made more money over there or more opportunities there?

      thanks again

yeah he's a big ol puss...K1 showed a fight that was 4 rounds every other round was MMA rules then Kickoxing rules after the second round they had the cameras in his corner and he was begging (literally like a little kid) his trainers not to make him go back in!

Yes, in Japan the fighters are treated as celebrities. MMA is one of the most, if not the most, popular sport in Japan. An average Pride event fills up most of the Tokyo Dome while UFC events are held in places like the MGM Grand. The fighters have always been compensated and treated well in Pride. The UFC treated the fighters very poorly and paid them worse in the early days when it was owned by SEG. The UFC was bought by Zuffa a while back and is now paying fighters considerably better. The treatment of fighters in The UFC is still questionable, in many people's opinion. This is mostly due to the UFC trying to gain mainstream popularity in the US. In order to achieve this they are promoting more visually appealing and "flashy" fighters as opposed to methodical fighters who fight more conservatively and win with strategy.
