      I read the book a few years ago, the movie is close to the book, people expect the movie to haev a point and it really doesn't, but neither did the book, it is just the memoirs of a f' up kid who joined the marines

      Same here, on a scale of 1-10 I give it a 5. It was hyped up as this total war movie and then there was hardly any fighting. I personally would never watch it again and my buddy who was with me was of the same opinion. But, that's just our opinion.
