TweetI am very “car accessory” illiterate. I hope I can rely on some of your expertise.
If I want to purchase some 18’ black rims, what brand is good but economically priced and where do you suggest I purchase them. I don’t plan on spending a fortune.
Thanks
TweetI would buy from a local import tuner shop. They usually have decent prices over Tire Kingdom or Discount Tires Co. and will usually beat internet prices. What kind of car do you have? If you have a 4 door then 5 spoke rims like the Giovanna Corsica's or G-Racing are ideal rims. Racing Hart makes good looking rims as well. You an pick from Konig, MHT, ADR, Niche..etc. There are too many companies to list but Giovanna and Racing Hart are my favorites. If I had an SUV I would look for Lexani rims.

TweetUsually shops where people that drive Honda Civics, Acura Integra's and other import cars get their bodykits, wheels, NOS, Turbo and everything else associated with modifying the car. We have a couple out here in FL called, Racing Zone Autohaus, Street Dreams, Dynamic Racing and a few others. You may also want to check where they install audio systems, they usually sell rims or have a catalog in which they can order it for you.Originally Posted by Slightly Enhanced
TweetGo to centerline.com Centerline wheels are ultra lightweight and will not only make your car look better, and handle better since the size will be bigger & the weight will be less since they're made of forged aluminum, but they will make your car a tad bit faster with the weight loss.
If you need tires too, definetely try Kumho Ecsta's! I put them on my truck and it handled like a whole different animal. My wife put them on her bimmer and she had the same results. Very cheap and very well performing tire. Honestly you won't find a better tire out there for even twice the price! Also don't depend on the tire shootouts in magazine's. They are biased. I used to work for a car magazine doing articles and such and I guarantee you most things you read are just paid advertisements in one way or another.
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions let me know. I know a ton about cars because it's my passion!
TweetDiscount Tire is very reasonable and they can custom order still at less of a price then you would at most tire/rim shops.
TweetMan, I was considering pickin something up back in the day for my car but its just a pain in the ass. I guess it depends on what kind of rims you got but you would need new tires as well and no matter what you would be spending well over a grand for nothing. Spend $100, get your car detailed inside and out, and invest the rest of it.
TweetWord! Back when I first started college if I would have known better instead of buying rims and tires for $1300 and having to swap out tires every 14 to 16 months I would have invested it. 5 years later, my rims are bent and not worth a dime. They are just collecting dust in the garage.Originally Posted by DeezGunz

Even when I buy a new car I always take it to Disc Tire and buy a warranty from them which covers the tires. You can buy warranties on tires that weren’t purchased from them. With the warranty the balance & rotation is free, so in the end it pays for itself.
