TweetHa!? Where they there when you bought it? Did someone randomly vandolize it? WTF? Sounds wierd, holes drilled in your bumper. If it was like that the dealership will take care of it.
TweetI just got a new car (Audi) few days ago.. and tonight at work I wanted to check if everything was fine.. and I see.. 6 holes drilled with a drill at my rear side bumper.. I am so fuking pissed...who would do something like this..
Do you think insurance will cover this as I just got the car few days ago and got my registration 2 days ago..

TweetNo it wasn`t like this... it was fine when I bought the car..no holes or anything..Originally Posted by crombie09

Is something like this fixable.. or I would have to get a brand new bumper..
Also..like 2 pretty good size deep cuts that I never seen before.. and they look to be done on purpose.. not something that was done by an accident.
I did call the police and the report was taken. Now the question is, will my insurance cover this at all or at least half of it.. ??
This is probably called "vandalism" and.. I know its someone from my work.. or the property that I work at.. I tried to rewind the camera..but it looks like the the camera has been set off on purpose during the incident...
a dispatcher calls me and tells me theres a fight going on some juveniles involved etc.. so I responded.. as soon as I came back I had that gut feeling.. that somethig was wrong.. when I saw those holes I was shocked.
I don`t make tons of money, and its really sad to see this happend. Its a really nice looking car... but what can you do..
TweetThat sucks, dude. Sounds like you may have an enemy.
If the holes are very small, a good body shop can repair these easily. How much is your insurance deductible? The cost to repair the damage may be less than your deductible. Which doesn't really help much.
TweetMAKE A POLICE REPORT AND TURN IT INTO YOUR INSURANCE AND THEY WILL COVER IT.

TweetLike previously mentioned insurance will only cover it if the cost of the repair is more than your deductible. Honestly on something small like that you'd probably be better off not telling your insurance company and paying for it yourself. How much is your deductible? A bumper to be bondo'd and repainted will cost around $200-$300. Is your deduct more or less than that?
Really sucks that happened man! I hate people that mess with others cars. I think people that do that are pussies that are to afraid to start shit in your face! I would love nothing more than to beat every bastard out there that
messes with peoples cars! I hate those losers!!@!!
Tweetsorry to hear that bro. my buddy kept his lightning in private lot on huntington ave. his truck got keyed 3 times in 1 year. one time the paint was barely dry and it happened again.
poor kid was practically in tears from frustation and anger.
TweetThat sounds like intentional stuff. Who do you not get along with at work? Does your work have video survalence? As far as insurance goes, I'd go get quotes first. If you have a $500 deductible or more it would probably be better to just fix it yourself and not have the claim on your insurance.
TweetDid you call or report it right after the incident?? In my state the cops won't come out to the scene if it is on public property. If im not mistaken, if you have broad collision, and are less than 50% at fault or can prove you are not at fault, your deductable will be waived, if not you will have to pay the deductable first. Some independant shops will calculate the damage into the amount, so you don't have to pay it. With my insurance though, if you take your vehicale to a shop that is not in their network of authorized shops they will send out an apraiser.
TweetYour insurance will cover vandalism and your bumper will be at least 500 bucks. If the price of the bumper is anywhere close to your deductible just buy the bumper and put it on yourself..its way easy and you wont have a claim on your insurance...

TweetI did call the police right after I saw what happened. They took the report and that was that. This morning I called my insurance agency and made a report with them, told them what happened etc.. she told me to go to this appraisal place and they will take pictures of it and thats what I did..the guy told me I should be getting the results of the appraisal in a few days and my insurance will be sending me a check so I can fix or put a brand new bumper..
I think if its under $500 they won`t cover anything..
