TweetI can respect that you just don't like Bush and disagree with his policies . . . but the reality is that the Patriot Act pretty much already gave government agencies the power to monitor the public by electronic or other means without a warrant.
TweetNothing is private anymore....everyone can find out anything about anyone, anyway..
wow say that 10 times fast..

TweetNever cared for Bush and didn't vote for him. Now i hear alot of ppl that voted for him are saying they wish they hadn't. I will add, and this is my opinion, but he is the very worst president we have ever had. I can't imagine what two more yrs of him will do to this economy, security and national budget.
TweetAmerica is awaking

so i ask again, is this what we wanted for our country? to "defend freedom" as they so often like to put it, is it necessary to take away basic civil liberties?
i've got to get out of here.
TweetI thought I read where the senate rejected his attempts as infringing to much on Americans privacy and liberty.
TweetI think that he had good intentions by doing this, If some terrorist guy is working at the 7-11 by day (no harm Mikey) getting free money to open the sum***** and tax free business because he's a minority then selling fricking illegal arms and making plans to blow up the country and freedom that I care so much about... then I say its a situation that calls for any means necessary. If that means violating a few innocent peoples emails or conversations then who cares? I'd rather some guy that I've never seen or never going to meet to listen to me talk or read my emails and know that my country is SAFE then to worry over the fact that some unknown person just read my letter to Mohammed Dirty-South back in bumfuck! Get Real People! I'm not praising Bush but homeland security is a "Any means necessary" deal and who gives a shit who's feelings it may hurt as long as I know that when I drive to work a 747 isn't going to crash into my building, or a idiot with a bomb isn't going to run into my wife's school, or for that matter my daughter's school one day!
TweetI AGREE. I DID VOTE FOR HIM THE FIRST TIME....BUT, NOT THE SECOND....Originally Posted by mick-G

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
TweetBush is terrible. Who ever can't see that is blind to the facts and believe half the shit Bush crams down the public's throat. Think for yourself and don't let his "puppets" do it for you.
WORST PRESIDENT EVER!
Tweetrespectfully dirty south, i wonder if you would feel the same way if you were charged with conspiracy to purchase or distribute drugs because your emails were being tracked.
i have no problem with counter terrorism. however the implications of the patriot act go far beyond just routing out terrorists.
this administration has used 9/11 to further their agenda, plain and simple, when it comes to both domestic and foreign policy. they are playing on fear and ignorance and IT IS WORKING.
the patriot act is 600 pages long, yet it was released 6 weeks after 9/11?
you think congress can crank out 100 pages a week? this was planned long ago, right along with the removal of saddam hussein. 9/11 got them the public support they needed.
you want to talk about the real causes of terrorism? lets.
how about the invasion/occupation of sovereign nations?
or how about the support of oppressive regimes that trample human rights and stifle the ability of their own citizens to better their lives?
how about the support of the criminal state of israel? (who, btw, has racked up more sanctions for human rights violations via the UN than any other nation)
or how about the complete dominance of the world market through the proliferation of fossil fuels?
the terrorists don't hate us because of our "freedom" or our "resolve" as the administration would have you believe. they hate us because of what our government is doing. the forceful spread of democracy and capitalism is bound to have some sort of backlash!
instead of examining alternate fuel sources and getting the hell out of the middle east, our government has decided to just mow over anyone who gets in our way. why? because the corporations that run the world economy have their fingers so deep in fossil fuels and it's child markets that they would rather waste human life than lose money.
these corporations have given the government the power it needed to carry out their agenda.
and who is suffering the most? average citizens.
how many senators sons do you see overseas holding an M-16?
the sad fact is that those who will never enjoy the fruits of the current administration's agenda are the ones who are dying for it. and now it is trickling down into american mainstream society through legislation.
all for money. so those who have can have much, much more.
